I WANT TO WRITE MY STORIES!!!!!!!!!!!! -> continues doing literally Anything Else besides writing
writing isn’t hard. i just have to extract 80,000 words from my brain using sheer psychic force
Reblog if you will never. Ever. Use AI in your writing.
When I got my first debit account (I was 19 and this occurred during COVID, if that adds any additional context), I had no clue what ‘cash back’ meant, I thought it was ‘cash back’ in the loyalty rewards way, I was curious about the ‘DO YOU WANT CASH BACK?’ screen with all the pre-programmed money amounts. Instead of looking it up, I clicked the $20 option at Food Lion one day and I was completely astounded when the cashier pulled a $20 out of the cash register and went to hand it to me. This is the opposite of the natural order of things. The cashier was the same age as me and visibly baked so for a fraction of a second, I was wondering if our wires got crossed somehow. I just stood there for a moment staring at him in confusion while he stared at me in confusion. Then, I took the $20 and gathered up my groceries and left. Luckily, $20 didn’t put me into overdraft. No harm done, just a very embarrassing moment. Anyway, if someone comes into your retail job behaving like it is their first day on earth, it is probably because they feel like it is their first day on earth. We’re all just trying to figure this bullshit out. Amen.

5 Tiny Writing Tips That Aren’t Talked About Enough (but work for me)
These are some lowkey underrated tips I’ve seen floating around writing communities — the kind that don’t get flashy attention but seriously changed how I write.
1. Put “he/she/they” at the start of the sentence less often.
Try switching up your sentence rhythm. Instead of
“She walked to the window,”
try
“The window creaked open under her touch.”
Keeps it fresh and stops the paragraph from sounding like a checklist.
2. Don’t describe everything — describe what matters.
Instead of listing every detail in a room, pick 2–3 objects that say something.
“A half-drunk mug of tea and a knife on the table”
sets a way stronger tone than
“There was a wooden table, two chairs, and a shelf.”
3. Use beats instead of dialogue tags sometimes.
Instead of:
"I'm fine," she said.
Try:
"I'm fine." She wiped her hands on her skirt.
It helps shows emotion, and movement.
4. Write your first draft like no one will ever read it.
No pressure. No perfection. Just vibes. The point of draft one is to exist. Let it be messy and weird — future you will thank you for at least something to edit.
5. When stuck, ask: “What’s the most fun thing that could happen next?”
Not logical. Not realistic. FUN. It doesn’t have to stay — but chasing excitement can blast through writer’s block and give you ideas you actually want to write.
What’s a tip that unexpectedly helped with your writing? Let me know!! 🍒

I made a thing
If ur wondering where angst is, it falls under a separate category called ‘canon’
I fucking love character corruption guys, i love when the good guy gets disillusioned with the world and slowly begins their descent from moral righteousness to numb apathy to resentment and then finally moral bankruptcy as they tear everything apart in a downward spiral, i love when they become a vicious twisted creature that their former self would be horrified by, i fucking love inner destruction AAAAAAA
Just crammed a final paper in under 2 hours with 2 minutes to spare while also finding time to reblog gay shit on tumblr, anyone who says you need chatgpt to write is lying
DNI lists on this website are fucking insane
can we explain to early-twenties autistic lgbt people that they . cant be saying these things. you cant be calling people 'degens' in your dni you cant do that. you cant do that man. can we do a history lesson. you cant do that
YOU CANT DO THAT MAN
"in defense of using the term degen, it's generally applied to pedophiles" - conservative man who might actually shoot a trans woman if he saw one within 50 meters of his child, and also LGBT tumblr users who do not know things they should know
"Degeneracy" is a fascist concept. There is no defending that word, just stop using it
to be extra clear. the reason it is fascist is because it implies a) an ideal past that society has fallen from, and b) people who are responsible for society's fall from that ideal past.
a "degenerate" is someone who caused/causes society to fall from that ideal past.
even applying the term "degenerate" to people who have actually sexually abused children, specifically, is still implying that there was once a world in which CSA did not exist, which society must return to, and which Certain Types Of People have caused society to stray from in the first place.
these problems are systemic. that's like the whole idea behind all progressive and leftist ideology. come on.
Stop using Nazi rhetoric in regards to fandom discourse. It just makes you sound... like a Nazi.

i find it frustrating when a character makes a decision (especially an emotional one) that makes sense for them as a person to make in a given situation, but because the decision has unforeseen ill effects of some kind, fandoms attribute this choice to the character’s stupidity. because it’s like. no!! they aren’t stupid, they are just trapped within their story and cannot see further forward in it than where and when they are!! they are not looking at this with the omniscient god’s eye view that you, the viewer who has already read this book or seen this movie, are where you know what happens after this and the consequences of every move on the narrative chess board!! they cannot make the decisions that you think you would, knowing what you know, because they don’t have all that insight!!
