Hey there, I want to start by being up front that I myself am a transmasculine lesbian. If you don't want to read further and would prefer to simply delete this ask, I get it and wish you a lovely day!
I've seen several people in your askbox quite aggressively accuse you of being transphobic. I personally don't agree with their method of communication, but can't help but see their point. Im not looking for any sort of argument, I just enjoy discussing these things with those of different viewpoints
I believe that people are mainly referring to the content you reblog regarding detransitioning (at least, that's the biggest concern I have) I fully support detransitioners, as long as people are living their truth I'm happy. What I do have an issue with is those who don't support gender affirming care as an intervention.
Many of the posts you have reblogged without comment regarding this topic paint things like HRT as life ruining. For some it absolutely is, however a lot of the posts I have seen you reblog word the issue as if it is for everybody, regardless of outside factors.
Apologies for the lengthy background, I've never been good at being concise with my language. Essentially, I'm curious regarding your views on the topic of gender affirming care and would love to discuss further if you are open to such a conversation!
Once again, feel free to ignore this if you'd like, or DM me if you would prefer to speak privately
First of all I don't think I have reblogged any post regarding detransition in that light whatsoever unless I am forgetting doing so. So I would really like to see which post you are referring to if there is one.
Secondly, I have never and will never not support gender affirming care for those who need it and are capable of deciding so for themselves.
I am not sure if you are confusing me for someone else who has reblogged or said things such as this?
Either way I'm glad to give my opinions here anyway to clear up confusion.
I am a child detransitioner myself and have personally been permanently affected by transitioning as a child. It does not work for a lot of people and I believe it should not be a resource available to impressionable, unpredictable, and irresponsible children who do not know who they are yet. That is probably my most "controversial" take on things of that nature. I do not care whatsoever what an adult does to their body for transition, they are capable of making that decision and have a much better grasp on their identity and who they are and what they want.
