So talking to various people with PTEN issues and reading various things it looks like the best plan is for Charlie to stay indoors for the next 12 weeks, I'll stay with her as her carer of course. First time I've practiced a full primary series in years, I forgot how tough but really good it is. Interestingly although I haven't done much of this style of yoga for a while with CrossFit I'm closer to jump throughs then I've ever been and I did my first ever chakrasana (backwards roll thing) messy but I did it. I need to incorporate a full primary into my schedule at least twice a week, my problem is I want to do ALL the things, I want to run, I want to CrossFit I want to yoga. Of course all the folk sharing "don't worry about coronavirus it won't affect YOU that badly just those with underlying conditions' are the same ones who share "stand up to childhood cancer" selfie posts every year. Hey love if you care about the kiddos with cancer so much how about stopping stockpiling hand sanitizer and loo roll while telling everyone not to panic. Let the families who have vulnerable people in the house hold have access to valuble resources. Stop saying "it's only those with underlying conditions" like they don't matter. Instead whilst admitting the risk to yourself and others without underlying conditions is minimal push the fact it is essential to follow good hygiene immediately and self isolation if infected to protect the vulnerable. Can I vent for a minute about #coronavirus and health privilege. I am so sick of hearing that only the elderly and those with "underlying conditions" are at risk of serious illness or death. Look just because it's not going to kill you doesn't mean this virus isn't serious. Can we stop being so fucking self centered and focus on how we protect those at risk. That means even if you aren't at serious risk, have exemplary hygiene, hand wash, hand santitise, cough into tissues or upper arm. Then hand wash again. If you are ill and you even suspect it's coronavirus self isolate and get tested. If you are ill and don't think it's coronavirus do have exemplary self hygiene and don't spread that all over either. I'm not suggesting we have wide scale panic but if you have health privilege and aren't at risk don't let that convince you this could not be serious. Elderly people's lives matter, disabled people's lives matter, cancer patients lives matter, vulnerable people matter!!! And for the love of God stop telling me it's only the vulnerable and elderly really at risk like it's supposed to fill me with elation. Because those people obviously aren't as important.
