There is no unskilled labor, only undervalued skills.
Friendly reminder
âDoing your bestâ does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown.
this one still smashes me in the face ten times a year. do not ignore pain, itâs no longer your best at that point
itâs no longer your best at that point
Click on it twice. These are your two super powers.

Howlâs Moving Castle (2004)- Flying Scene Animation done by Studio Ghibli Sophie: Emily Mortimer Howl: Christian Bale
This is so important.Â
How she switched that dialect back and forth tho đ
Preach!
This was at the University of Western in London, Ontario, Canada.
Let me tell you about this goose and his gal.
They chose to set up nest in, as you can see, a centrally located flower/tree area. What you cannot see is on the far left there is a door, a very popular door that allows you to get into the Social Science building, and then another door to the front of where the female goose is sitting that goes to...get this....a food court!
So if you want to eat and then go to you class in Social Sci, well for about a few weeks you were shit out of luck. Also, this is where people could lock up their bikes for either building.
If you so much as looked at the female, the nest, or even the male himself, he would just come to fuck your shit up, no questions asked, to everyone and ANYONE. People would even stay well away from those barriers, male goose didnât give a fuck.
Luckily after a few weeks of attacking anything that breathed in their direction, the male goose either a) got tired or b) figured out that not everyone that wandered by wanted to hurt his mate.Â
So he would just side eye intensely you as you walked past.Â
Eventually one morning the geese were gone and all that was left was the the nest and some egg shells and fluffy down feathers.

Because no gifset could do Terryâs monologue justice.
This may be the most important 3.5 minutes of television in years.
This episode needs multiple awards, and so does Terry Crews for his delivery.
this episode had me in tears. how long have we been praying for things like this to be represented in a nuanced way? the conversation BETWEEN BLACK FOLKS, acknowledging generational differences in viewpoints, acknowledging that racial profiling and police brutality affects young black girls, addressing how police departments stifle progress through internal intimidation tactics, addressing the respectability politics and victim blaming that happens when black folks are targeted by police⌠for a half hour comedy B99 did a much better job of addressing police racism and brutality with this episode than any other tv show iâve seen in recent years
I almost scrolled past this. I didnât because:Â
1) not only was this exceptionally nuanced and wokeÂ
2) but it had just enough levity and goodness that my heart didnât feel sore afterwards.
This was a treat.

Always reblog when I see this video
and people say the baroque times werenât fun. it was lit af back then. bach was turnt
âWell hello there, Chere.â In second year, we did a narrative unit where we had to have a go at someone elseâs story. We had limited choices, but i chose A midsummer nightâs dream. I had this lovely idea of a New Orleans version, with Baron Samedi and Mama Brigitte as oberon and titania, a jumped up greaser poltergeist as Puck and relevant sacrificial animals as fairies.   Hence the chicken. I did so much research on this, i learned so much about voodooism. So awesome and such a serious practise. These two gods seemed perfect to act as fairy royalty.  Again an old piece, maybe two years old? But the ink is still good, I think. Enjoy
this is AMAZEBALLS
Some worthy examples to follow!
#FirstTimeISawMe
you know I remember a time in the 7th grade when we had to design and draw a colour by numbers and we had a substitute teacher that day who said the theme was âspringâ.
so I made a scene with cranes in a pond surrounded by waterlily's, and I was very proud of it, most of the class complimented it and I felt really good about myself
then our regular teacher came back and returned our projects with our grades a few days later, and I had failed it. got 0 marks, and it bright red marker she wrote âdid not follow assignmentâ.
as a student I had never failed anything, so in a panic I asked why I had failed. My teacher said the theme was supposed to be âEasterâ.Â
When I told my teacher that the sub had explained the theme was âspringâ, with other students backing me up, she said she was sorry but she still had to give me the failing grade because I hadnât followed the assignment.Â
I very angrily told her I had followed the assignment I had been given, but I still failed.
I guess what Iâm trying to say, fuck the education system as it stands.
Self care 101Â
Okay reblogging this again because this scene literally changed my life

RATTLESNAKE (a short)
Re: Purge.
If everything was legal for like twenty-four hours Iâd start a communal garden.
This is barely even hyperbole.
I would legit start a communal garden with whoever wanted to join me.
I think that would be fucking dope.
Rewrite of The Purge where, for 24 hours, people hurriedly complete all those renovations and projects that the council forbids. Helen, leader of the PTA, laughs maniacally as she tears grass from her lawn with a pitchfork, her thirteen-year-old daughter Emilyâs arms red with mud as she wades through the carnage, planting thyme. Jack and Mitch have left their friendly smiles behind at the RSL; today their faces show only grim determination as they methodically shovel gravel into potholes and pour bitumen. The local biker gang, gathered on the corner, are the most rambunctious of the mischief-makers, whooping and hollering as nail guns are driven into plywood, assembling miniature by-the-road shelters for the homeless to rest on cold nights. Their noise covers the sounds of Katy and Sam moving from street to street with their trolleys, picking up unsold or unwanted food from houses and restaurants to give to the hungry without fear of taxation or food safety reprisals. Theyâre young, and still scared of being caught.
But thereâs no one to catch them. Not tonight.Â
