#i love everything we don't know about the pitt ensemble & their lives outside of work for a LOT of reasons #but certainly one of them is all the room for interpretation about like. who they are when they are not in the middle of total crisis. #& the reason i mention that here is that i love the notion that dr jack abbot combat vet amputee widower er doc is also a certified Yapper #but i also think you can imagine a world where he's not at all and in this scene he's just low-key frantic. #just trying to talk robby down literally & figuratively #The Yapping Is Situational #he's trying to get a read on robby and what little he's getting is freaking him out #and he doesn't know what to do except keep talking. #if u asked him later what he said he would not be able to tell you half of it. #and in fact perhaps hours or days from getting robby safely off the roof #he will stop and frown to himself and think: 'did i say something about bees?' #'what the fuck do i know about bees? There is something so endlessly compelling about how the characters that demonstrate support for Samira's style of medicine are...Collins and Abbot. Two characters who also demonstrably really love Robby. Samira and Robby being narrative mirrors lead to them clashing, and Robby so clearly is not at peace with himself and is taking that out on the person he unconsciously sees as much like himself, but other characters that know him and care deeply about him are the ones that see the best in the person just like him.

one of the hundred things I love about Andor is that in the end, all the villains were destroyed not in an epic showdown with the rebels or whoever but by the machine that they worked for. syril was a faceless casualty of the genocide he helped create. dedra was done in for putting ambition over conformity to the machine, and she took down partagaz, who essentially created her, along with her. even heert was quite literally killed by his own droid and his own men. all of them were crushed by the wheel they dedicated their lives to keep turning. it's just so deeply deeply satisfying.
