Grey’s Thoughts
I keep hoping that things will end well this season for Schmico…I tell myself how popular they are and how angry fans would be if something bad happened to them or between them. But then I think about one of Shonda’s other shows (Station 19) and how she just killed off one half of a very popular couple and I begin to dread the season finale…
Hmmm, true. But Station 19 is still in its beginning season and Grey's in its 15th. If season 16 is the final, why set up the relationship, with characters that obviously break boundaries, just to split them up. Station 19 has time to rebuild and invest in another relationship for Vic. Plus, maybe there was a reason the actor wanted to leave so they killed him off?🤷🏽♀️
Nico isn't just the first gay male surgeon in a same-sex relationship, he's also in an interracial relationship, and in an interfaith relationship (we don't know if Nico even has a religion, but I'm assuming he's not Jewish).
These elements mean a lot and are very important to many people who are fans of the show, and just in general. If they're broken up and season 16 is the last season, they'd have to use precious screen time building up character development and background for another possible boyfriend?? When they already have an established relationship, and established characters??
But, hey, writers have written dumber shit.🙄 I hope that's not the case with Schmico, because I feel the Grey's team/ Shondaland would get major criticism for pulling what so many other subpar shows do, and that's treating Schmico as a novelty to bring in views just to let them go. I'm personally not worried (yet), but I get why people are, but MAN would that be fucking stupid if they did that.
Both actors like their characters and the storyline, and they want to come back considering season 16 is a go. And if it is a go, Schmico deserves to experience all the firsts that all of Grey's straight couples have been allowed to experience. They've had their first fight, and then break up? Naw. I'm going to give Shondaland the benefit of the doubt. For now.😑
Please excuse my long ass comment, I've got a lot of feelings regarding idiotic, unnecessary crap.😂 Not to mention these characters as individuals have so much potential for great personal storylines, considering the stuff that I mentioned in the second paragraph. It could be so interesting and fresh if they handle this right.

Soooooo, immortal husbands, right?? 🤔🧐 I'm assuming that's what's being hinted here. Why else would the writers word that shared line for Malec's vows this way if not?
What would be the point if they were going to be separated (although unwillingly) down the road by death, right?? 🥺
Am I reaching and reading too much into this? Pfft, of course not. Immortal husbands it is then!!
And I won't consider any other alternatives unless this theory is completely and utterly disproven. AND even if it is disproven, I will continue to live in denial because it's fun here. 🥳
