the line in mad Max fury road where max is saying they should go back and claim the citadel instead of running away more and he says it will be a hard day, but the other way...there's nothing but salt - had a profound impact on me because yeah sometimes the only option other than the hard day is salt, is an unchanging unourishing wasteland. everytime I catch myself annoyed about something coming up that is inconvenient or hard that I know I have to do and I think "it'll be a hard day :(" for years I tack onto the end Max's voice saying that line about the other way being nothing but salt.
