I’ve been thinking about it
If Project Hail Mary is going to get a sequel (which it probably won’t) The only acceptable premise is the entire first movie set from the perspective of Rocky. 
It’s Rocky on his ship realizing his 23 crewmates are dead and not understanding why
It’s the flashbacks of him on Erid and being on the project to save his stars
It’s Rocky dealing with loneliness and existential dread for 46 (earth) years
It’s Rocky finding Grace and freaking out and getting excited about it, him building the models and sending them over and then Grace not catching it and sending it over again but slower this time
Rocky building his tunnel and then building the wall with different materials and seeing that Grace only goes to the one transparent panel and learning he can’t see like Rocky can
I want scenes between them from the book we didn’t get in the movie, like the 46 years scene
I want to see Rocky when the taumoeba eats his fuel and he gets stranded in space
I want to see and hear his joy as he runs to Grace
I want to see them arrive to Erid and see him reunite with Adrian (and maybe we get to see Eridian mating idk)
I want to see Rocky break the news to the 23 families who lost their loved ones
I don’t want to see them go on some ‘new adventure’ to save the whatever
I want to see this
