riddle does not like jealousy in himself because it feels irrational, and he prides himself on being rational. so when it shows up, it's subtle at first— a tightening of his voice, a sharper edge to his words, the way he becomes slightly more observant than usual. he notices everything: who you're talking to, how long you're laughing, whether you're standing closer to someone else than him. he tells himself it's about propriety, about "appropriate behavior," but the truth leaks through in small ways. he becomes more strict, not just with others but with himself, as if tightening control will fix the discomfort in his chest. if you point it out, he gets flustered quickly, insisting he is not jealous at all, which only makes it more obvious. what actually gives him away is later, when he is quieter than usual and subtly, almost awkwardly, stays closer to you than before.

vil's jealousy is controlled, refined, and very aware of itself, which makes it more about expression than reaction. he notices immediately when his attention shifts into something more possessive, and he manages it carefully, because losing composure is not something he allows easily. still, it slips through in small ways— a slightly sharper tone, a more deliberate way of drawing your attention back to him, or a comment that sounds like critique but is really just him re-centering things. he doesn't like the idea of competing for attention, especially when it feels unnecessary, so instead he becomes more present, more intentional in how he engages with you. if someone else is involved, he will often step in naturally rather than forcefully, making it seem like the most obvious thing in the world that you'd rather be with him instead.

idia is the kind of jealous that doesn't quite know what to do with itself. he notices it, panics internally, and immediately tries to rationalize it away like it's just social anxiety or "weird brain glitch behavior." externally, it shows up as awkward hovering, sudden bursts of commentary that don't quite match the situation, or him getting weirdly focused on his device while still clearly paying attention to you. if someone else is making you laugh, he might mutter something under his breath, then immediately pretend he didn't. he doesn't confront anyone, but he does subtly stick closer without announcing it, like a background process that refuses to close. later, he might overthink it completely and try to act normal again, which only makes it more obvious that he absolutely noticed everything.
