I have only read a few discworld books so far but I really love how much during reading or after I recognize where Pratchett got certain names and ideas. Moist Von Lipwig surely is named after Victor Lustig, a famous con man, but I didn't notice that until my flatmate pointed it out. It really feels like his writing is full of so many little references and jokes you'd want a fully annotated version like you see with historical texts.
