the saturation of ai in fanfiction has turned me off so bad that i don’t even finish it if it contains phrases or grammatical tendencies shared with ai writing. how hard is it to write something? everything genuinely just reads the same to me and it’s like there’s no individual writer’s voice anymore. it’s so disheartening, ive even stopped reading as much as i used to. i truly don’t understand the necessity of ai in fanfiction, no one forces writers to write something it’s not like you’re under any deadline that would need a helping hand, or like you have a quota of fics you need to meet to appease someone. most readers enjoy quality over impersonal quantity anyways, its like the people that use ai in writing just want to feel like theyre making things that are worthwile instead of actually making something beautiful. i hate what online writing has become it’s just so shit

I'm trying to be optimistic and trust the process, but... They did what I was afraid they were gonna do with RSA, which was not go the focal character route, but go the marketable "Disney Princess" brand route.

Which doesn't WORK because Alice, Nala, and Meg are not included in the Official Disney Princess lineup...

Why does an all-boys school have all female founders?! Why did we not go titular characters?! Why did we exclude Simba and Hercules? Like Nala and Meg lived under the rule of their respective villains, but they're more catalysts to get Simba and Hercules to actually FACE their villains...

Not to mention the naming conventions this go-round are really... odd. I expected them to match their NRC dorm somewhat, but like... Some of these feel off.

Your only hope is that whatever absurd fanfic of your life is written well, because mortals are horny bastards, and you have no control over who they ship you with. Half of these plays are just your mortal fans smashing barbies of you and some heavenly rando together yelling "NOW KISS" and you just have to fuckin'...sit there. I would die.
