Describe them physically:
Barry is a tall, slim man (198 cm), with broad shoulders and long legs. Lean rather than muscular, his build is closer to that of a runner or a model than a regular gym-goer.
He wears his hair short in an “artfully messy” style, along with neat sideburns and a small beard that hides a dimple in his chin.
He has a short, slightly upturned nose, sensual lips, fair skin, and dark hair. Originally, his eyes were brown, but with age they began to reflect an unnaturally bright yellow, which is typical for an adult vampire.
When interacting with others, he gestures a lot and very expressively and is highly animated with his facial expressions.
He obviously takes care of his appearance and enjoys making a strong impression.
He prefers a moderately casual early-2000s style: jewellery, leather, accessories. He combines dark clothing with a bright colour accent (usually a patterned shirt). He likes prints featuring large flowers, butterflies, occult symbols, or more informal motifs. However, everything is cheap and mass-market: considering his extreme lifestyle, his clothes do not last very long.
He wears a lot of facial piercings (earrings in both ears, nose, lower lip, left eyebrow, and tongue), is not shy about painting his nails or wearing eyeliner. For special events, he uses more aggressive makeup (though, again, only around the eyes).
At home, without giving it much thought, he simply wears lounge pants and a T-shirt.
Investigations, tasks that require analysis and attentiveness, preferably the kind that get under your skin and make your guts twist at how wrong something feels. Ideally, the investigation ends in a brutal fight. Barry is a bit of an adrenaline addict: he feels alive when he comes within a hair’s breadth of death.
Attention directed at him. Even stalking. He considers a stack of photographs taken of him without his knowledge to be very romantic. After all, the person put in so much effort!
Horror movies and B-action movies, or anything even lower-budget.
Occult knowledge (Barry is a talented ritualist).
His own mistakes (or what he perceives as his mistakes), which cause him to feel guilty. It may not even be his direct responsibility, but Barry tends to blame himself for every problem and then spend a long-time wallowing in self-hatred.
Having someone else’s authority imposed on him. Barry prefers to decide for himself whom to look up to with respect and admiration (which is why he is currently an Anarch).
Killing humans, even if they are enemies (he does not have this problem with supernatural beings). But, if necessary, he will do it.
Sexual violence (unacceptable under any circumstances).
Artistic creation. He loves everything from painting to making sculptures out of found materials. He creates dark, disturbing things- sometimes unsettlingly honest, sometimes openly brutal. He has ambitions in this field. Through art, he works through his own psychological issues, but he also simply enjoys shocking his audience.
What's up in the romance department (and if they're aro, are they in a queerplatonic relationship):
A disaster. He consistently falls in love with people who do not need or want it and then suffers because of it. Now, he is in a certain degree of despair.
