"there will be no support from law enforcement or the military"
the disconnect here is absolutely wild. it's clear that this person doesn't think of law enforcement and the military as being made up of individuals, because if you stop and think about it for ten seconds, you'll realize that a very large number of those individuals are, shall we say, decidedly in favor of the second amendment.
you really think the military and law enforcement won't help the gun fanatics? the military and law enforcement are the gun fanatics! the people you want to carry out the confiscation are the people whose guns you want to confiscate. when faced with a choice between (1) meekly handing over their own private property and using threats and violence to force their family, friends, and neighbors to do the same, or (2) keeping what they rightfully own and refusing to turn against the people they care about for the sake of a blatantly unconstitutional endeavor that runs counter to their own deeply held personal beliefs, do you actually believe that the vast majority of them wouldn't choose the latter?
and if a "global coalition" of "multiple first world armies" came to take away people's guns, it wouldn't matter if the american government invited them in or not. that would be an invasion. it would be an act of war against the american people. and the american people would respond accordingly.
y'know, the heavily armed american people who are very familiar with the local terrain, have strong social ties to other gun owners in their community, cannot be reliably distinguished from a random person on the street, and are incredibly mad at you. those guys. they will not fold. they will fight.
do you know how many americans have guns? neither do I, because a lot of gun owners don't think it's anyone else's business. responding to a survey by claiming that you don't have any guns because you lost all of them in a boating accident is literally a meme. but let's assume for a moment that the surveys are accurate. pew research data says that 32% of american adults own at least one gun. official us census data says that there are ~270 million americans aged 18 or older. that's more than 85 million gun owners.
for reference, the combined total of active duty personnel for every single military in the entire world is roughly 20.5 million.
every aspect of this is hysterically delusional. it's almost impressive.
