Healing Migraine 😇 This is all from own experience, why I get them, how to treat it and how to heal migraine. What is a migraine? It starts with feeling thirsty, dry mouth, pressure behind the left eye and tiredness. It ‘develops’ into a bad headache with lots of pain behind the left eye, dizziness, nausea, very weak body, stomach cramps, diarrhea, vomiting and just a horrible feeling. Can’t have any light, noise, smell….everything is painful. What are my triggers? I’ve noticed that there is usually a combination of this factors that get the migraine started: ❌ Lack of sleep- tiredness; ❌ No exercise for a few days, especially the stretching I do for the back & neck; ❌ To much salt & fat (as I eat plant based, the fat comes from seeds, nuts & avocados); ❌ Not enough Hydration! ❌ To much screen time…sometimes even just 2 hrs in the evening could be to much for me; ❌ High stress for to long time, ❌ Any of the above combined with the ovulation or menstruation; ❌ This one is not for me, but it’s for sure also a trigger: processed food, red wine, alcohol, chocolate, caffeinated drinks. Relief for Migraine ✅ 🌿 Drinking a lot, hydration with spring or filtered water, fresh juices, herbal tea; 🌿 Magnesium ( bisglycinaat or glyconate is a great form); 🌿B complex vitamin ; 🌿 Essential oil, especially Peppermint & Lavender, but I use a lot of EO on my tummy & head ( ginger, Thieves, copaiba, di-gize, basil, rosemary, lemon, m-grain, etc.) 🌿 Ginger, best is organic powder, 1 teaspoon mixed with warm water. Fresh ginger tea also work ok. 🌿 Coenzyme Q10; 🌿 Cold compress; 🌿 Acupressure; 🌿 Acupuncture; 🌿 Sleep & rest in a dark quiet room for as long as needed ; 🌿 A little Coca-Cola or coffee 😣 I know… this is also part of the triggers but once the migraine starts the body needs a little 🤜🏼 and a few sips of cola will reduce a lot of the nausea and cramps.
