WWX can be troubled while JC walls all of his feelings behind This Could All Have Been Avoided If WWX Had Been My Brother From The Start. JC bluescreening with rage because everything after the war would have been different if WWX had been recognized as JFM's son. (but JC - the Jin sect leader hated having to recognize his bastard son, don't you think he would have been even MORE opposed to your sect and WWX if the Jiang had set that precedent? - I don't think JC is up to thinking very rationally but also it would have been LOADS easier for him to go to bat for WWX had WWX been his legally recognized brother.)

(it would not have ended well for the Jiang. But JC is not dealing well with the reveal that his... that the social expectation of caring for WWX, that being entitled to WWX belonging, the safety of WWX's place in YMJ, was stolen from them by JC's own father hiding it from them.)

(ALSO also. JC once sacrificed himself for WWX and he had no right to it and WWX proceeded to make himself a diplomatic problem for the Jiang and also orphaned JC's nephew. But if WWX is JC's brother, then JC saving him is in fact normal and familial and not JC's most selfish choice ever and also JYL wouldn't be dead and JC would have had ZERO reasons to hate himself for that one choice.)
