Forgotten to add this here, this is Dr. Corvus without their outfit.

This is just a work in progress as I’ll be making a proper reference sheet of who she is and also what her species are ( currently showing the domestication of it, living under the care of the foundation)

A small list (if you can’t read my horrid handwriting)

- Flight Wings always clipped (but tends to be OVER clipped.)

So you guys know how I've been obsessing over Cassie Aphthiton from Blocktales but you guys also know how I'm also really hyperfixated on Greek myths despite my lack of reading paragraphs capabilities

Well I'm just gonna over analyze references on Cassie + the Trinity council becauseeee I'm insane, it's probably not actually references but let me be delusional okay.. (also two of my friends that know Blocktales hate me rambling about this it makes me upset)

Every art except this one below are from AsepriteRico, the official artist of Blocktales (unrelated note but the fact the official artist is INDONESIAN too makes me feel represented for some reason as an Indo myself, I rarely see Indo artists thrive this way)

1. Starting off strong, her name + her father's name

(I'm a firm believer that names hold a lot of power so this is my very huge hyperfocus)

Her father's name (also based off of the helmet name he's wearing which is a Roblox accessory) is Kleos Aphthiton, and if you're knowledgeable in Ancient Greek heroic culture, it's a word that means Imperishable Glory/Fame/Renown (you get the point), especially used in Homeric epics such as the Iliad

It might've not been intentional but considering that's her father's name, I think it's very fitting considering the Kingdom adored him to the very day he passed (of course, at the expense of Cassie doubting her own strength of not being able to live up to being his daughter including by those around her and not having enough time to mourn the passing of her father considering as the crowned princess, she has to take the throne as queen) (I might be wording this wrong sorry SOBS)

Now, for Cassie's name

Her name comes from the name Cassandra, who in mythology was a Trojan princess and prophetess that was cursed so nobody believed her prophecies

The only correlation I have for Cassie Aphthiton on this name is the fact she saw visions from the WINDFORCE and nearly lost her mind (from what I've witnessed)

Oh and shining over man, fitting for a princess now queen

I guess you can say that I'm just happy they likely researched and found a Greek name for Cassie too meaning it was likely they know what Kleos Aphthiton means (first time I saw Aphthiton and Kleos, I KNEW it was Greek)

Btw, this was also the reason I named my Blocktales Sona that I ship with Cassie "Elena" because Helen and Cassandra as a ship is a thing in the Greek Mythology community

Regarding Cassie's name deriving from Cassandra, another correlation is that the Trinity council didn't believe her when she tries to tell them that the Player isn't a threat— just like how no one believed Cassandra's prophecies

2. Her appearance, mostly her hair

In Ancient Greece (and I heard even now but I can't confirm that LOL), the people adore red heads— the thing about them is that they like features that are considered rare in Greece which makes it more beautiful (brighter hair and brighter eyes usually)

Cassie being a red-head and a royal,, idk I really like that (not in a screwed up way btw don't slime me), as a royal she's likely to be looked up upon as an ideal icon ykwim? I probably make 0 sense but it's why this is short sobs .

I saw this when I was looking into Rico's concept arts of Cassie and I also saw a post from @ // sarafangirlart (it was an Andromeda retelling rant but I digress I like overthinking and connecting random dots by getting new info from random stuff) about how royals and nobles especially the women specifically are the ones likely to hold titles of priestess or priest (not sure if this is Ancient Greek religion in general hopefully I read right) and it got me thinking

(ignoring the nun part), I like how there's likely no correlation to this but the original idea still connects to the concept of royals holding priest/priestess titles by accident

Unless you wanna connect Greek Orthodox but I don't know anything about that tbh
