last night we got stranded on top of a mountain (details not necessary but I will be paying etsy witches to cast a curse on a certain car hire service) and then one of my U.S. friends I just met yesterday morning was like, 'hold on.....I think I might have cousins....' and they called their family and their family made calls and sure enough eventually a cousin they'd never met arrived to rescue us all, and she even brought coffee and biscuits.

I am constantly seeing people trying to puzzle out what's "ruining books" and it makes me more and more tired. Read a different book. You have more choice in reading material than at any other point in all of history. No one thing can be ruining ALL of them.
