My “Grandma Aggie” gifted me my first book on witchcraft called “Teen Witch” by Silver Ravenwolf for Christmas after I had secretly asked her for such a book. My Mom had me reading the Christian apocalyptic Left Behind books (there’s duality in everything😂) and her reaction was one of mild shock. She asked my Grandma why she got me a book like that and she said because I had asked her for it. This put the spotlight on me and instead of defending my goddess of a grandmother, I played it off like she had misunderstood and that I wanted something fictional but it was cool all the same. She was so classy about it even though I had been too chicken shit to stand up for her or even myself. Well Grandma, here I am sharing all of my witchcraft on Instagram for everyone to see 😁. These babies have been with me since the beginning. Like, middle to late elementary school. I used to have an expansive “rock collection” when I was a kid that I kept in a tin with a piece of white paper scotch tapes to the lid that said, “Andy’s Rock Collection.” I’m pretty sure I threw out most at the dawn of my teen years, not knowing how crystals would make a resurgence in my adult life. I used o take them out in college and hold them every now and then but never really understood why I was doing it.
