The United Unicorn Fanciers Association, USA branch, has published their new poster for the calendar year showcasing the current most popular breeds in the fancy.

People tend to say that pronouncing the "r" in iron is incorrect, that a native speaker wouldn't pronounce it that way. So... Do you pronounce the "r" in iron? Do you add an "r" somewhere?

When boys as young as 5 are getting access to porn (so frequently, in fact, that it has increased the frequency of COCSA by a terrifying amount), I think it’s safe to say that yes, society is introducing boys to misogyny through porn. Obviously it doesn’t do this alone, movies, tv shows, comics, fathers, brothers, male classmates, male teachers, male celebrities, etc. are also responsible, but porn is introducing them to the most violent of misogyny.

In a world where porn is so normal and easy to access (not to mention the fact that, if a boy types “porn” into the search bar, the first results he finds will not be casual sex videos, they will be the most popular videos which are violent and involve other discriminatory fetishes) you end up with really young boys thinking that all of this stuff is okay. To them, it’s just a run-of-the-mill activity that is totally okay to participate in, and, as evidenced by the article I linked, okay to replicate in real life.

I’ve heard accounts from boys (really young, like, 8) who abused their little sisters and said that they had no idea she didn’t like it, because the girls in the videos cried too, so isn’t that what’s supposed to happen? I’ve also heard an account from a 14 year old who abused his sister. He said after watching the videos he saw her and “knew he could use her.” Some of these boys are aware of the evil of it, and others are not because they believe that all of this is just a regular activity people do. In both cases though, these boys are being introduced to misogyny through porn. There has been many cases lately of teachers reporting that their students, mostly male, and as young as elementary school, are making porn noises in class, especially to the female teachers (which indicates that they are aware that this behavior is to be targeted at women, and aren’t just doing it because they find it funny to imitate in general).
