Le soleil se lève sur les graminées, les coquelicots et les lys …
An update on my little pond. I added a spider plant and some more pothos cuttings. Oh and there are so many baby snails. Feels pretty much perfect now! I'm going to let it mature another 4-6 weeks and then want to get some orange neocaridina shrimp!

Herdwick sheep, crossing the beck - by James Rebanks (1974), English
I have a 2.5 gallon aquarium now that’s like a little pond. I discovered 3 hitchhiker snails (from the plants I bought) a couple days after setting everything up. Their names are Shelley, Pepper, and Poppy and they are busy making many baby bladder snails that will be born soon. I’ve had the tank for just over a month now and I’m very happy with how it’s coming along!

Why Getting Comfortable With Sock Applesauce Is Essential To Your Spiritual Growth
Most of us spend our lives avoiding discomfort. We choose dry socks and the illusion that our feet are entitled to a stable texture environment.
But what if the applesauce in your sock is not an inconvenience?
What if it is a teacher?
Every time you recoil from the cool, fibrous presence between your toes, ask yourself, am I truly unsafe, or am I simply being invited to expand my tolerance window?
Before removing the sock, pause. Breathe into the pulp. Notice the story your body is telling you. “I hate this,” “this is disgusting,” “why is this happening,” “I did not consent to breakfast foot.” Thank your nervous system for trying to protect you. Then gently remind it, growth begins where dryness ends.
Try this. Before changing socks, name three things the applesauce is offering you.
Maybe it is humility. Maybe it is surrender. Maybe it is a chance to interrogate your attachment to linear cause and effect.
And if you find yourself thinking, “I don’t want to become comfortable with sock applesauce. I want my socks to not contain applesauce,” notice the rigidity there.
That’s the work.
"We find ourselves in weird situations all the time. We get out of weird situations all the time too. You know, it's rumored that Houdini would dislocate his shoulder to get out of a straitjacket. But that's not true, he didn't actually do that. You don't have to hurt yourself to wiggle out of strange and odd conditions. You really have to be a little bit flexible. If you're willing to make mistakes… to look a little foolish in public sometimes… if you're willing to experience a little bit of discomfort… The thing is, with resistance, flexibility, and willingness, there are no inescapable situations."
