just thinking about the scene where majima and sagawa meet shimano and how he reveals he’s been playing both of them like fiddles, especially majima, puppeteering him ever since he was dropped from the family down to predicting his every emotion so the empty lot deal would go in his favor. then, majima, completely dismayed that he, body, mind and soul, has been used like a pawn, has an absolute mental breakdown where he decides to continue being the clown to shimano’s whims no matter what because he knows this is just how life is for him and that’s what he accepted the moment he signed up into the yakuza.
