It was you. You who made me feel the entire zoo in my stomach. You who made my heart beat so fast and loud even when you’re away. You who made me experience things I never even knew would be amazing, even just by sitting down with you talking about nothing. You would sneak behind my back and cover my eyes, but I know exactly that it’s you. I think I’ve memorised your body even back then. 

You do every little thing as beautiful as ever: the way your eyes wrinkle when you laugh and the way those perfect teeth would show, you would glance at me to see if I’m laughing too. You have the cutest sneeze in the world, not kidding and god knows your voice is heaven to my ears. The way your pupil would look at deep into my soul, searching for the possible faults you’ve done, but in reality, I just want you to look at me straight in the eyes because damn you hold the entire universe in those brown eyes. The way you would stare at me for minutes, and tell me, “you’re so beautiful,” without knowing that it is you. Your heart is beautiful and pure. Did I mention I love the way you lick your lips whenever you’re in the middle of explaining something? Oh I love how focused you are, trying so hard to make me understand. The way you wrap your hand around mine, filling up the gaps between our fingers, makes me feel sound and secure. It’s like letting the world know that’s it’s us against them no matter what.

When people are cheering for you I can’t help but smile thinking “that’s my man.” You make me the proudest and the happiest girl in this planet, and yes I look up to you so much. I imagine me in the future always cheering for you and encouraging you through times you’re down. I’ll treat you at your fave fast food and we’ll stress eat it all out together. I got you through thick and thin.

It has always been you Over anyone else, over anything else, and over the world. I don’t care what people think about me as long as you’re mine.. and I wasted that. I wasted us because of my selfish ways. I wasted our time together, our effort, our past, and even our future.
