I'm in exactly 2 fandoms, Servamp (Aug 2012+) and Villainous (May 2017+), unlikely to change or add. My favorites are Flug and Bel & Tsubaki.

But BlackHat Is a struggle for me

yeah that's a good job, especially on his goggles! I do that too, drawing ovals/egg shapes that tilt towards each other at the top. it makes Flug look so cute. basically as close to the droopy eye phenotype as a masked character can get. droopy eyes make a character look calm and kind (which... don't sound like Flug's actual personality but that is why I like it on him. looks harmless, is not harmless.)

idk if I can help you much on Black Hat tho.

it depends on style. I mean I drew relatively close to canon with only a few minor touches of my own.

I always avoided drawing him (that's why I focused more on Flug in my past art) I'm not very good at drawing him and can't say I have so much fun with him.

you have to be more specific, WHICH part do you specifically struggle with?

see there's certainly more notes here but I can't think of what I should explain. once you can do smth for many years in your sleep you stop going off a recipe and you just... know.

he ain't married to Flug neither in canon nor any of my art. I think I drew them proposing before but that's it

I'd never upset Dem in my art or fics, a real paperhat shipper loves Dem and wants her to be happy. matter fact the realest of the real ones ship paperlizardhat. I prefer this ship over any other in Villainous I just be lazy drawing 3 ppl, it's hard enough to draw 2 characters interacting.

I used to believe in it more than I do now. but I am not against it entirely yet.

like if there is a different plot twist to it at the end, I ain't bouta be surprised.

it would be very predictable currently. and that's mainly why I'm suspicious. it's... TOO predictable almost...

especially with Villainous' complex lore, I doubt they'll make any plot piece this easy and obvious. but who knows. maybe that don't matter and is intended to be like this cuz there will be more than enough other plot twists to this arc.

the way Goldheart speaks abt Flug, there's 2 options. he is either Flug's (older?) brother, or he an old best friend turned sour.

same goes for how Flug speaks abt Goldheart in his notes and how he reacts to seeing him on TV, lmao honestly his reaction looks a bit silly childish which would kinda fit a siblings dynamic. the thing is, I'm an only child. so I can't entirely say what the relationship is like, I can't fathom how you typically interact with siblings. but from what I observed around my peers in my childhood that looks on par.

now ppl say that evidence against them being siblings is for example that we found out they have different last names.

I'd not agree that this has to say much.

here's a few scenarios:

• Goldheart has married before. he is either as old as Flug or there's only a few years ±1-3 between them. I kinda think Flug be the younger one idk. so late 20s early 30s, you can easily have married by then.

• they are half brothers. I believe on which side doesn't matter.

• they are not related by blood, just step brothers since a young age. whether one of Flug's parents remarried and that partner already brought an existing child into the relationship too or maybe they even adopted Goldheart also doesn't matter so much.

I actually think the latter 2 options would make the most sense cuz they'd be the most hurtful considering Flug's implied past. imagine your bio parent starts to love their stepchild/adopted child more than you... always compare you to them, even tho you actually objectively achieve more, even tho you were there first, you're their actual flesh and blood. yet you have to prove yourself harder to get even a slither of the same recognition and love.

I would not listen to Gerry (crew member) who said "yeah I heard of that theory, it's always funny when ppl think that" and take that at face value "oh so they debunked it" nah that mf is just playing around. don't listen to nothing he says seriously. he purposely wants to cause chaos and confusion, he always says that.

I mean what else is he supposed to say except lead us on a wrong path, he would never confirm it if it WAS true. he not gonna spoil the story. so I think it's still possible.

EITHER WAY... even if Goldheart is not Flug's brother... it honestly doesn't matter to me at all cuz it's still clearly confirmed that Flug HAS a brother and heavily implied that his relationship to his entire family is very strained. the only anecdotal interaction we know of is that Flug's mom made him dance at prom even tho he didn't rlly want to cuz he can't dance. so his mother sounds like that odd controlling type, I could explain in depth what kind of vibes I get off her. he dreams of begging for her forgiveness and attention in episode 3. he cries at the strained story abt siblings in the Powerpuff orientation video.

if Goldheart is not his brother then that simply means he is only ONE of MULTIPLE grievances/betrayals in Flug's life. smth's wrong with his connection to his brother too. and we haven't even scratched the surface with Goldheart and Heed in his past.

TLDR: I still lean towards it, wouldn't be surprised if it's not true, don't exactly think it's as simple and straight forward as it looks with them being full blood siblings, but either way I don't mind if I'm wrong cuz I am definitely right on the last part. either way Flug don't have a good tie to his brother whoever it is.

this is over a year old and I think initially I just took a minute to reply cuz I was seriously thinking hard abt this. (well and then, I forgot to answer.) I just love every scene that Flug is in, when he's not hurt and preferably solo or the focus of the scene.

there's just too many. it entirely depends on favorite-what, in what sense, the subcategory- I got a list. my favorite funniest scene, my favorite scene that comforts me, my favorite scene in terms of how interesting I find the lore bit revealed in it, my favorite scene that I... ahem... find rlly hot...

I can tell you my fave episode subjectively based on how Flug was portrayed in it and what happened to him and my least fave! my fave episode basically means it has the MOST scenes I love the most, that have the longest uninterrupted total runtime of all eps.

that would be the pilot.

I love almost everything abt it. it's the perfect episode. I typically just skip the teleportation scene cuz for some reason this specific one triggers a strange childhood memory of mine in my body but other than that, it's just so great. I think the 1st episode has the most frames that I consider to be Flug's "prettiest" too. wonderful colors, gorgeous lineart, he looks like a character I might have known from the late 2000s...

I love him smug and arrogant and happy and so full of himself aaaaaa I love how ANGRY he gets in this one, I think the scene in the hatship is so far still the one where he lashes out the hardest. would nearly call that a meltdown. and I looove clear evidence that Flug is autistic. and perhaps there is another reason I like that scene...... but uhh yeah

I love his character development in this one already. although it seems he kinda falls back into old patterns in the following episodes, of being so hyperindependent and not wanting to stray from HIS plan without truly considering his team, but him having this brief moment of self reflection and acknowledgement that maybe he made a mistake in his strategy is amazing. to me, THIS truly shows his intelligence and not his diplomas or inventions.

also, sry but I hate his pyjamas. just don't like actual PJs in general I much prefer the casual clothes he wears in the pilot and I'm so sad we're probably not gonna see him like this again... :(

I find nothing particularly notable abt the 2nd episode. the 3rd is also nice ESPECIALLY the ending, it's a joy to see Flug have fun. I'm mad interested in his personal life and likes n dislikes. but he get hurt a bit too much for me to fully enjoy it. think it's just not my humor.

4th is always notable to me for how it's the episode that imo most clearly displays Flug as autistic. I adore seeing his happy stims and hear him excitedly yap abt his show and actually prioritize it over anything else, even his job and Black Hat (or at least he tries) I'm glad to see he has this little special interest in his life outside of his professional life that means the world to him. when he talks abt his show, his voice does that thing... like an old friend of mine... when he gets excited it pitches higher and cracks n stuff, like it vibrates or smth... that scene at the start is a treasure.

5th episode is often my other contender for fave episode of all time cuz this is exactly my humor. "this guy's got some issues" might be my fave Flug line ever. the pun he drops at the end is also probably my fave so far. I love this episode cuz Black Hat don't directly interact with the team and thus Flug is just being his goofy goober self, no fawning or fear. I can't believe he can pick up Dem lmao but man I love that scene in the cage. he's so snarky

so that are all scenes I can think of? I NEEDED to mention them all yes, I seriously can't choose. I think it's better like this cuz I believe it's easy to spot my pattern for what I like to see the most in these explanations.

unsurprisingly, the 6th episode is my least favorite by far. I don't need to mention that the ending scene triggers me severely, but Heed as a character does too, alone the melody of her voice actually wakes bad memories. she reminds me of someone. there's barely a way to skip any scene here. I'm highly empathetic with Flug in this one. in a way that is nice, this means it was well made, probably objectively the best episode. but I just find it incredibly hard to sit thru. it's just misery. I need to be in the right mindspace for that. the only thing that is rlly cool is Flug's badass fighting scene ofc but even that just makes me see my own emotions in Flug which is difficult to see idk

so that's probably never gonna be an arc I'll mention when I talk abt fave Flug scenes. I kinda watch cartoons for comfort

idk if I want to redraw any of em?? I find the art style of the original perfect. I couldn't make it better, in my eyes. yk I love super simple flat 2D cartoon styles. so it's not like I would want to see any of these scenes in a more detailed or shaded style, absolutely not. at most I'd like to see some in a different, maybe even MORE simple and stylized 2D style? but I can't draw simplified, that's my problem... I don't have a rlly cool unique CARTOONY style. maybe I put some thoughts on that in the tags cuz I talked enough

so I'm not planning or asking for nothing I just want some more new official scenes of Flug being happy and not in pain!💚

Are Flug and Tsubaki as a couple like:

A-He grounds me 😌

depends on if we talking canon x canon crossover and I got 2 plot options there, a) Flug becomes Tsubaki's eve, b) Flug would rlly suit the role of a C3 member, he's already a scientist. and honestly that doesn't make it impossible for him to form a contract later down the line so might as well be one consecutive plot. actually secret 3rd option Tsubaki turns Flug into a subclass but I haven't thought of it much yet, he would however perfectly fit into Tsubaki's pattern for types of ppl he chooses to save. idk how Flug would be as a vampire, I kinda prefer him staying a human cuz servamps can't bite their own subclass, but I like to think of Tsubaki biting Flug...

I'm sorry I'm autistic and have trouble being excited for smth that is still so far away. if it'd be this year things would look different, but this time frame is too far away for me to feel any emotion. I had already predicted these news so... it's just kinda an information to me and that's it.

I'm not bothered abt waiting, not at all. I waited since 4 ½ years. 1 or 2 more make no difference.

I think I also need a more exact window of time to feel actual excitement.

wait but I ain't read the whole manga completely yet, like I got bits and pieces from every volume but ngl I was not able to read every single volume continuously and in its entirety. so I actually have to admit idk nothing bout the mirror world or how that works or what exactly that is. I thought only servamps even got those... I definitely don't have all the infos so it's probably easy to correct me

is that like... how old he would have been at the time he's in the mirror world if he didn't die? so in 2013 he would have been 43 rn (if I'm correct on my assumption that Servamp plays in 2011-13. this is a Bit of the plot that happens way at the end, right, so we most likely talking bout 2013 according to my calculations here)

he died at 25 in 1995 according to me, + 18 years later from that... is indeed 43 years old in 2013, so I'd be completely right on his birth year being 1970, but rlly EXACTLY. 1970 to 2013 is 43 years. but that also presumes I'm right abt when the story plays in general.
