5. I’M SO HAPPY MOLLY DIDN’T DIE I WAS SO SURE SHE WAS GONNA GET FRIDGED BUT YAYYYY HAPPY ENDING! I’m sure people have all sorts of opinions on her and Burrich but I ultimately think they’re sweet.

6. What an absolutely insane move to introduce dragons in the last 200 pages of an entire series. And it worked. Also the idea of Girl-On-A-Dragon, having a full human person that isn’t real but just an appendage of the dragon… freaks me out a little but in a cool way.

8. I wish the books came with maps in the front because this series is 90% road trip and I want a better conception of where everything is.

9. I actually wasn’t crazy about Nighteyes initially but he grew to be one of my faves. I liked seeing the changes in how he and Fitz conversed and understood each other.

But then when he turns the light off, the wheelchair user turns his lamp on. When Mary hits The Pirate with the concrete piece, he yells in pain. Clark consoles The Pirate as though its feelings might be hurt. And when the memory of his wife sees The Pirate, she tries desperately to get away.

- fanbase overwhelmingly pairs nb man off with another nb man and disengages from the Black woman character, shunting her into a background wise & sassy caretaker role (for which there is a name) or leaving her out of fanworks entirely

- fans who do this ^ claim it is an expression of love and admiration for the Black woman character, actually, bc the nb man (who may be her canonical partner) "can't handle all that" (he may be perfectly competent and engaged; she may be totally low maintenance; it has no bearing), she's just too wonderful (too much) and out of his league (lacking in flaws and interiority and fan appeal)
