It has been a phenomenal week here at the dojo! One student promoted to a red uniform, students earned their next belt level and we had a guest instructor. It is the weeks like these which make our instructors and students love their life with the martial arts.

We believe that being able to defend oneself in the playground is just as important as getting those amazing grades in class. 

Safety. Yes martial arts can help your child prepare for the rare case of needing to defend themselves. However, if they are not taught about the buddy system or playing in groups the chance of needing to protect themselves might be higher. Self-defense, buddy system and environmental awareness. Make sure your children are prepared.

Friendships in the martial arts help make the experience from okay to spectacular.

No matter what your results may be. You should never feel ashamed of your failures. They help you become the athlete/person you have become or want to become.

Hard work, dedication and a smile. You can never have a bad workout with the right attitude. Everyone in our conditioning class today never stopped smiling even after they heard us say "everyone freeze! 30 burpies go!" . They know that with a positive outlook and hard work that they will get to the physical fitness level needed to boost their skills. If everyone had this attitude, there would be more amazing athletes in the world.
