Wondering how to find your email history with a specific contact? Just click his/her record to pull up complete contact info, history and notes.

You'll find emails on the HISTORY TAB:

NEW FEATURE: Now you can send LinkedIn connection requests right from Rexter!

When you see the "in" logo in the CONTACTS TO REVIEW section of your call sheet, it means you're not connected. Just click the button and you can customize the invitation and hit send. Done!

If you have family members or other people you don't want to appear under "relationships to develop," you can easily exclude them. Just edit a contact and click the  "exclude this contact" box at the bottom.

Don't worry, your memory isn't going ... you just have too many contacts to remember everyone! And there are plenty of people in your address book, email history and even your LinkedIn connections who you *just don't remember.*

SOLUTION: Check the CONTACTS TO REVIEW section on your call sheet a few times a week. It shows new contacts and people who have suddenly resurfaced after a long time:

By checking this section, you can prioritize new contacts while they're fresh on your mind. You can set a date to follow up, add a note about how you met, and connect on LinkedIn if you haven't already.

And contacts that you don't care about? You can skip or delete them altogether. You can also edit the contact and check a box to prevent Rexter from showing them in your Relationships to Develop section. It's at the bottom of this screen:

Before you shut down to enjoy your evening, here's a handy tip: take a quick look at the SIGNIFICANT INTERACTIONS box on your call sheet. It shows your most recent meetings & phone calls so you can easily add a note or set a followup if needed.

People you've suddenly heard from or reached out to after a long time

"Ghosts" - people who have contacted you and who aren't in your address book.

Add them to a project or relationship group

In Rexter, a "project group" is a list of people associated with a short-term goal - one with a deadline!

A lot of our customers used to track these lists in Excel (a painful time suck). We're building a tool so you can import lists right into Rexter; until then, this helpdesk article explains how to transfer those gnarly lists into your account.

Once your list is in a project group, you can easily work through the list and see all of your past emails, meetings, calls, and notes in one place. You can also track their status using the 6 status fields. And you'll have that information everywhere you go, 24/7, via the web and your mobile app.

So what kind of project groups should you create? Start with the most important deadline-driven goals you're working on RIGHT NOW.

Do you have a list of deals you're working to close by a specific date?

Do you need to set up meetings at an upcoming trade show?

Do you need to renew a specific set of clients? 

PLUS they're easy to set up because you've probably been meeting, emailing, and calling these people during the last 30 days. That means you can go to your NETWORK page & sort by last contact date:

Within the first few screens, you should spot a lot of the people who belong on these lists. Just check your group members and hit the "Add to a Group" button. (You can put them in an existing group or create a new one.)

While you were sleeping last night, Rexter was chomping data to prioritize your contacts on today's killer call sheet. Each weekday morning, you'll get a highlight email with reminders, projects, and the top relationships to build.

TIP: ADD A FILTER IN YOUR EMAIL PROGRAM TO FLAG MESSAGES FROM REXTER.COM!

Have you connected ALL of your business accounts? You can add LinkedIn and as many Google Apps/Gmail/Microsoft Exchange accounts on the SETTINGS page.

Just scroll down to this section:

Did you know that Rexter doesn't store your email messages? We just display them from your mail server when you click a contact and look through the history tab.

But what if you've deleted old emails? Rexter has the event titles and dates, and your relationship score won't change, but you won't be able to review those old messages.

SOLUTION: You can tell Rexter to save snippets! Even when you delete a message, Rexter can show you a blurb of about 1000 characters - enough to jog your memory.

Go to SETTINGS and scroll to ACCOUNTS

Hit the EDIT button

Check the SNIPPETS box

Some of us hate data entry SO MUCH that we're willing to forget things rather than create reminders. But in Rexter it only takes me (Rex) 6.5 seconds. Can you beat me?

Here's the merge screen and a note about storing ALL contact data. The primary phone/email appears on your call sheet.

Meetings and calls are valuable relationship-builders that Rexter uses to calculate your relationships and better prioritize your call sheet. (Meetings are the most valuable, especially long ones!)

You also see the event in the contact history of every participant - a handy reminder.

You can easily add an event to anyone on your call sheet:

From any other page, choose "ADD NEW > Event" and fill in the details. Add the important participants so Rexter can score and prioritize those people for you!

BY POPULAR DEMAND: You can now import your contact groups (Google Apps/Gmail) and categories (Microsoft Exchange) into Rexter! 

On the settings page, scroll to the ACCOUNTS section and hit EDIT for an existing  Google/Exchange account.

Check "Import my contact groups too" (highlighted above).
