“Sit down,” Megumi instructed Gojo, pointing at the sofa but averting his gaze. Gojo held his hands up, as if in defence, and chuckled.
“Whoa, didn’t your dad teach you it’s not nice to point?”
Megumi frowned even harder at the inappropriate joke, but brushed it off as typical Gojo. “Whatever, sit or don’t sit, I don’t care. But I need to tell you something, and you need to promise me that you’ll have a normal reaction.”
Megumi was ranting, Gojo’s keen eyes following him with amusement as the boy started moving around and organising stuff on the kitchen island just for a distraction.
“You have my undivided attention, Megumi. All six eyes, no infinity.”
With a scowl at the sheer cockiness of his guardian, Megumi leaned both palms on the island counter. “We’re having someone over for dinner tonight. And she’s my girlfriend.”
The immediate onset of confetti canons that seemingly came out of nowhere shouldn’t have surprised Megumi, given who Gojo was, but alas, he was startled. Wild eyes found Gojo, who had gotten off the couch and had his hands in the air as if in celebration.
“Thank the heavens! My kid has game!”
“That’s not a normal reaction!”
Gojo suspected it would be someone from the Kyoto school, but was surprised to find that his adopted son had actually talked to someone he wasn’t forced to interact with. You politely bowed when entering their estate, and Gojo was genuinely surprised.
Because even though you weren’t a jujutsu sorcerer, he had seen you before.
When he, Yuji, and Nobara spotted Megumi talking to a girl on the street, it totally embarrassed him, and they were told that the girl had only asked for directions.
“My, my,” Gojo cooed. “Pleasure to meet you again.”
To Megumi’s great despair, there’s just nothing normal about Gojo.
