Nora ‘surgically removing kandreil’ wasn’t so surgical. I swear I open the book to a random page and Andrew is claiming Kevin as his. I flip the page and Kevin is telling Neil that all Neil needs is Kevin. I flip to the page after and Andrew is offering to blow Neil. There’s been no removal of Kandreil, just a delay and a proof of concept.

neil is an unreliable narrator because everything gets filtered through his exy obsession and warped by his life experiences, jean is an unreliable narrator because he lies to himself and also is just wrong sometimes, jeremy is an unreliable narrator because he never tells us what he thinks or feels about anything. we haven’t gotten kevin’s pov yet but he will be an unreliable narrator for all these reasons and more
