But I'm back, and I begin by putting my thoughts down for all to see. It's been an interesting ride through life, lots of ups and downs. Some of which left scars, some leave happy memories. But it's predestined to happen and I'm happy to be along for the ride. I have become a more spiritual person- and not in the religious sense; I do not identify with any religion nor am I really against religion when used properly (i.e. extremists should be shot on sight whereas going to a place of worship on Sundays and not pushing your beliefs onto others is absolutely fine). But I do believe in being spiritual as a way of inward discovery- truly learning who you are, what you want to do, what you're doing, things like that. It's given me a lot of perspective on life. I believe in karma and destiny- that the actions you do are predetermined and set. Things unfold exactly how they were always meant to be. Everything you do, every choice you make, every person you encounter is destined to happen, exactly how it happens. We can't change or alter our destinies because any change means that change was meant to happen! Karma exists as a way to give back to the world in the hopes that destiny smiles upon you and grants you amazing experiences. I am a firm believer in this, and while I largely identify as "atheist" in the religious sense, I do believe there is some sort of afterlife. I don't know what it's called, who's there, or what it's purpose is. It may be that your afterlife will be customized to your life; a never ending, infinite dream. Play your life over and make different choices if you want. Replay events from your life and experience the amazing times again. Experience life in another perspective. Nobody knows for sure what the afterlife is like except for those who have passed on before us. For that, I will celebrate the amazing chance to be alive and breathing. Moving on from spirituality, I have discovered the wonderful world of art- except I am not the creator. I have no creativity to spontaneously create beautiful works of art. Instead, I am the recorder of art through pictures and soon to be video. Owning a DSLR for the first time gave me the ability to truly capture life as it happens- any camera can do this, however the creative things you can do to enhance or alter those images is bar none one of the greatest experiences I now hold. I may not be able to create, but I can observe and record. That is my art. Thanks for reading.
