Social media is really something you for the most part can make sure is a nice place for you. Blocking someone is not a personal attack, it’s you choosing to close the door and creating an online space you like. You get to decide who has acces to you. You are not a bad person or unkind because you block someone. You have the right to close that door if you do not want someone into your space. It does not make you unkind. It is a way to draw a boundary online, you owe it to yourself to protect your space and peace. 🌸
To add onto this - being able to filter out tags on Tumblr is one of the biggest reasons I started to use this platform more! It helps me to stay away from content that makes me feel uncomfortable, and of course blocking people on social media generally helps anyone stay away from people they don't want to interact with.
Social media for YOU should be a friendly, safe place to be. Blocking someone toxic, or staying away from content you might find triggering, does not make you a bad person at all. Always try to put yourself first, and stay safe. 💖
Block button have a purpose ,is not EVIL, you dont have to stand things you dont like ,and if youre blocked, it doesnt mean your a bad person, people have the right to chose who can see their content, is your blog, is your decition, is your space, and no one should decide for you, no one is hating you, youre not bad nor less intersting, people have diferent likes, needs, and been throug diferent things, many take social medias as an escape
Block who you need to block, blacklist the things youre not confortable whit, hide tagss, but dont let guilt get ya ,this is for you, not them, this is for your mental health, if they insist, well thats their problem not yours

How to set a boundary: turning down an invite
1. be gracious. “That sounds like an amazing time”, “I really appreciate you inviting me”, “I heard that new bar is really nice”
2. decline. “but I won’t be able to make it.” do not offer an excuse or reason. you can say NO without cause.
3. work through discomfort. not offering an excuse will feel very scary and awkward but gets easier with practice. You have a right to NO.

What is it about night walks...I looked into the orange light of someone’s window and felt the deepest sense of peace I’ve ever had
I finished watching "The Girl from The Other Side: Siúil, a Rún" and OH BOY DOES IT HAVE POTENTIAL! I just wish it had an anime but even with only one "episode" in the ova that is 11 minutes long it's still beautiful. I highly recommend watching it and reading the manga.
