honestly, Carlisle was probably randomly thinking “jeez, Edward and Rose are so similar, it’s a shame they can’t get along. They’d make for an interesting couple.” like a year after Rose turned. Edward overhears and thinks “so THATS why he turned her????? For ME?????” not grasping that Carlisle was clearly not being serious

carlisle would know he naturally unsettles people as a vampire and would try exceptionally hard to counteract this at the hospital - not through anything weird that might be sus - but by keeping his hands warm. by leaving the office door open a crack. by asking people if they’re comfortable - can he open/close a window? answer any of their questions? idk how else i haven’t had 300 years to think of ways but my point is that carlisle is really good and his devotion to helping people through his position as a doctor would absolutely extend beyond the strictly medical!

Like, every time this crosses my dash I’m both irritated that this is necessary and also completely unsurprised.

angela knows way more than she lets on.  but she’s kind and minds her own business. she’s been quietly observant of the cullens for a while before bella’s arrival to forks. as the school photographer, (and someone who prefers to listen rather than talk) she’s great at observation/research. but she doesn’t pry. i love angela.
