A lot of people are against the LGBT+ community.
It sucks. But I digress, I am sharing this for a reason.
Go tell a queer friend that they are valid. Go tell them they are amazing. Go tell them the truth. Because you never know whether they had to experience hate, whether it be to them, someone else, or in general. As much as I say that Iâm confident or I donât care, it can hurt to know people think youâre disgusting - it can make you feel disgusting. And you can, youâre allowed to be sad, but whatever they say is NOT true.
If it doesnât hurt you or anyone else, then you can do what you like, love who you want, be who you want. Be who you are, do what makes you happy, and donât change for anyone.
But to anyone who is exposed to that hate, itâs going to happen. Some people hate us. Thatâs the way it is. We can work towards changing that - look at Pride. Itâs a gathering of us, to show we arenât afraid. And even if we sometimes are, we canât let that stop us being ourselves. But we are strong. Emotionally strong. We have to deal with hatred just for being ourselves.
When the world seems like itâs on our shoulders and we feel alone, we have the internet. Because no matter who you are, what you do, how you feel, you are NEVER ALONE. The LGBT+ community is always here for you, the allies, anyone. We can be here for each other, no matter what. I wasnât just sharing this for the negativity to spread, no, I donât ever want to spread hate - I want to show that even when thereâs negativity, thereâs always people there for you. People have backwards views, and thatâs not okay, but they donât matter. I canât remember when or from whom I saw this, but:
The people that matter donât mind, and the people that mind donât matter.
Its all going to be okay. Weâre here for each other. Weâre strong. We can be Proud. We can be ourselves. Unapologetically.
đłď¸âđ Because weâre here, weâre queer, and we WONT BACK DOWN. đłď¸âđ
