hii !!! im raine. i post art sometimes and also my thoughts and whatnot.... i jump between art mediums and subjects really a lot so do not except consistency at all! if you see me post about a project once, assume you will not hear about it again for 6 months. also a lot of my ramblings are just for my own sake when i just gotta get something out. i talk in tags a lot :P also i get into bouts of being a #hater sometimes i promise im not evil i just like to be dramatic about pet peeves i have about various things ill probably gather them under a tag at some point

i have been blessed with the incredibly common special interest of Paleontology. i have also been cursed with the unfortunately incredibly rare special interest of Ghost Towns, a topic whose fans are all over the age of 65 or dead. feel free to talk to/ask me about abandoned places and ghost towns YAYYYY !!!! i am currently working intermittently on a very long-term project to make a map of every single ghost town/abandoned site/etc using google earth !! if you live on planet earth i probably know of fun abandoned spots near you :3c
some of my favorite extinct creatures include UTAHRAPTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and spinosaurus, yutyrannus, carnotaurus, kosmoceratops, tyrannosaurus, yi, inostrancevia, thylacosmilus, and dimetrodon.
some other interests include: warrior cats, general science stuff, severance, Lost (2003), Dark (2017), speculative biology/evolution uhh uhh oh my god i have like 6 interests. well anyways i dont post about all of these but feel free 2 talk to me about anything !!!!!!!!!
music i like: my FAVORITE artists of all time are glass beach (my fav ever), roar, modern baseball, slaughter beach dog, car seat headrest, racing mount pleasant, the beatles, paul mccartney/wings, black country new road, sorority noise, riyuichi sakamoto, and searows; other musicians i really love include, covey, waveform*, the blasting company, "oldies" music in general, C418, they might be giants, adrianne lenker, origami angel, lomelda, leith ross, flatsound.......... i love music so so much
games i play: errrmmmm. .... . clangen, minecraft, niche, wobbledogs, chickensmoothie, planet coaster...... sorry i have a macbook i cant do much. now if you asked me about games i would LIKE to play... that is a different story...

In what will become Nebraska, an Amphicyon ingens plays with a pawpaw fruit during the autumn season. Though pawpaws are some of the largest North American fruit and capable of fitting snugly in a human hand at their biggest, they are utterly dwarfed by the Amphicyon, who weighs one ton and whose head reaches that of a human's - even on all fours. Pawpaws have grown in North America potentially since the time of the dinosaurs. They fruit during the autumn, and tend to grow in clonal thickets, clustering together on the forest floor. Autumn foliage has existed since the dinosaur age, starting with ginkgos and likely some conifers, but presumably really kicked off as angiosperms ramped up their diversity during the Cretaceous.
Amphicyon ingens was an enormous species of "bear-dog" - a group that ranged from omnivorous to hypercarnivorous, though I have no idea where ingens falls on that scale. It would have pursued its prey relatively slowly for great distances before grappling it and delivering a killing bite. Males were larger than females.
In the background is Kyptoceras, a species of protoceratid potentially affiliated with ruminants or chevrotains. They are trying to avoid notice for good reason.
