2026 Quilt Update
I've not had as much time as I'd like to sew recently on account of starting uni again and work getting full on. I've also picked up a couple of other hobbies/projects which haven't helped. I'm hoping that my time and desire to quilt picks up soon, but I'm not too worried. Worst case next year can be a slower quilting year. These are the remaining quilts on the list for the year:
The Medallion Quilt
This one is pieced and sandwiched, and is slowly being quilted. I've got some really bright and fun variegated threads that I'm using, and I'm loving how it all looks. It'll be lovely to have on the bed when it's done.
The Scrap Quilt
This one also just needs to be quilted and sandwiched, but I haven't touched it in a while. I'm thinking of using it to teach some friends how to hand quilt if they're interested. Otherwise there's no rush.
The Body Quilt
This one is going to get picked up sooner rather than later. I want to applique letters for it, and I've been thinking of the exact words I want to say. I also did an applique class recently - see the picture on the right - (whoops another project to continue) but now I feel confident enough to make a start!
The Spring Couch Quilt
This is the quilt I need to be working on, but the blocks are... not fun. I need a weekend to just focus on it, but I've been too busy. I might take a couple of days off work and do it then. Hopefully I'll get it done for September so we can use in on the couch!
The Geology Quilt
This one isn't started, and tbh may get pushed to next year. It's going to take a lot of work to get done as well as I can see in my mind. And a LOT of hand quilting.
