Please do not send me Cookie Run fankid requests anymore, I donāt do that on the regular anymore. At this point, I only do it on occasion when I feel the urge to, and most of those are just random ships I choose
If you send me a request, there is a 99% chance that I will not end up drawing it, and it will just be sitting in my inbox forever; most of my requests have been sitting here over a year, and you will ultimately be disappointed
Iām just not into Cookie Run as my main hyperfixation anymore, and sure, sometimes I miss making fankids and say Iād like to make a couple more, but those are usually just whims and never stay for long. The only way that I would hypothetically make fankids as regularly as I used to would be for Cookie Run to be my main fixation again, and I donāt see that happening anytime soon
I just donāt want people to get their hopes up and think Iāll make something when I likely wonāt, and if Iām being perfectly honest, I donāt particularly enjoy getting asks in my inbox only to see that itās to do a thing I havenāt done regularly in probably over a year now. So please just donāt send them
Oh and also, even if you see a new fankid I post, donāt automatically assume this means that I will start posting them regularly again and requests are open once more. This is most likely another whim and you will get your hopes up for nothing. Only do so if itās clear that I am making them regularly again, like if I post multiple new ones over the span of at least a few weeks
Iāve gotten 4 since Sunday now, and while Iām not particularly sure why, other than the 1 or 2 I made last week, I think I need to set the record straight about this for people in the future

Namaygoosisagagun First Nation/Collins has burned to the ground. The entire community is nothing but ashes after being quickly consumed by wildfires. They did not have any support from emergency services, and no one offered aid. The community saved themselves by escaping into boats because no one came.
Mishkeegogamang and Cat Lake have lost power. Families are ending up in shelters with nothing. Armstrong, Lac La Croix, Whitesand, Gull Bay, Lac des Mille Lacs are currently in the fires path and all members are being evacuated.
All this loss, all this devastation, and it was entirely preventable.
After steadily underfunding wildland firefighting and purposefully excluding Indigenous wildland firefighters and Indigenous wildfire organizations from wildfire operations, firefighter training, decisionmaking, and resource exchanges, in 2025, Doug Ford slashed the forest firefighting budget.
It's hard to ignore his decision to cut funding and leave us out of adequate fire training (even though we've lived with forest fires for thousands of yearsāfar longer than settlers have been in Canadaāand made sure fires like the ones we're all seeing today were prevented through kinisitotÄn) when, despite making up less than 5% of the population, we account for 42% percent of all wildfire evacuations in Canada.
And when we are successfully evacuated, we face discrimination and racismālike Kashechewanābecause it's always been easier to blame us than it is to blame the true culprit: denialism, corportate greed, and colonization.
The people of Collins and every other impacted community deserve better.
Right now, the AFN is currently accepting donations to help Collins First Nation. If you're able to, please consider donating.
ONWA (Ontario Native Women's Association) is another great place to donate to. They have outreach vans going to motels and inns and offering food, water, resources, and cultural support to those impacted by the wildfires.
Other places to consider donating to are Mikinakoos Emergency Fund, Red Cross, True North Aid, Indigenous Climate Action. You can also send donations directly to Whitesand First Nation via e-transfer ([email protected]) and they request that you add your full name in the e-transfer comment section to receive a tax receipt.
*Before sending money, verify that the appeal appears on an official First Nation, Tribal Council or registered charity channel.
If you can't offer financial support, please consider donating items of need. Moontime Connections is currently accepting drop-off donations. If you live in the Thunder Bay area, Namaygoosisagagun Health Office is also taking in donations! They can also bemailed to Superior Inn Hotel & Conference Centre at 555 West Arthur Street, Thunder Bay, ON, P7E 5P8.
So I decided randomly to start playing Oracle of Ages earlier, and honestly itās been pretty enjoyable so far
Now I want Ages and Seasons to get some sort of remake like Linkās Awakening did. Though I suppose with them being two games, youād either have to make two new versions or try to combine them into one (and from what I understand, the gameplay is the main difference between the two, so I donāt know how youād combine the two seamlessly)
Maybe the solution is to make a new version of the game that incorporates elements of both, but also becomes its own story in the process, sort of like Pokemon Emerald or Platinum? Iām not sure
But I think the games deserve some form of modern retelling at least
Okay one more random thing, but for whatever reason I really like Queen Nimbusā design
I donāt know why, I think itās just that itās a bit different from the typical design I see for queen characters, particularly with her veil? Or at least Western ones
Though at the same time, I donāt think the people of Nimbus Land are meant to be wear clothing of a typical Western European style. Iām not sure where their outfits come from, but I donāt think itās there
(I donāt know where to find good pictures but hopefully these will do)
So I suppose it makes sense for Queen Nimbus to dress in a different style than the standard Western queen
So I had an idea for a potential way one could incorporate Evoland's changing graphics gimmick into a 3rd game, assuming the time travel mechanic from 2 isn't used again
So basically, the idea was that the different graphical styles all technically co-exist, just on different "layers" of reality. In the lore, the world would have started out on its innermost layer, which for Evoland would be the GameBoy graphics, but as time went on the people moved up to higher layers, though some stayed behind in the earlier layers as well
Here's a basic graph I made in MS Paint to explain what's going on more succinctly
(I put PS1/N64 because N64 is more in keeping with the Nintendo theme, but I'm pretty sure PS1 would be the actual next step. Also I used NES and SNES instead of GameBoy because I thought that would get the point across better. There's also probably more layers, this was just a basic example)
Each layer has its own world, and there's likely ways to travel between the layers, but they get more and more empty the further down you go, since less and less people would have stayed behind in those earlier layers
You as the player would have to traverse the different layers for plot reasons, with unique things in each layer to deal with
Technically speaking, Anodyne 2 already kind of did this with its normal world, nano-worlds and pico-worlds, but the concept isn't quite the same as in that game, and the general concept of "graphical styles being on different layers of the world" can be used again, I'm sure
But yeah, just an idea I thought I'd throw out there. Maybe instead of reusing the time travel in Evoland 2, there could be a new way to incorporate the graphic-changing gimmick of the series
So Iāve been pondering potential Evoland 3 concepts using this setup, though I havenāt thought of much yet
Specifically Iāve been pondering the main hero and what their backstory might be, as I think per the typical Evoland intro sequences, they should start out on the GameBoy layer (which is presumably the innermost layer, but I suppose that depends on whether or not you want to use NES or Atari style graphics as well, which are presumably further down)
The two options I have is that theyāve lived their whole life in the GameBoy layer, which I suppose would mean the goal is to work upwards to the more advanced layers, or that they first came from the GameBoy layer but at some point were moved to a higher one
I think the latter option might stray a bit too close to Kuroās backstory, so the former might be the better option, even if the layer progression is more linear. Thereās also a scenario in my head for that option where the hero goes crazy over the things in the higher layers theyāve never experienced, which I find quite amusing. Like they go āholy shit COLORSā even just when they reach the GameBoy Color layer
Iām struggling to think of much else, but I think my brainās just in a consistent fog right now, so maybe Iāll have to wait it out before I get more ideas
Though I think some of my Evoland 2.5 concepts for the main protagonist and first ally could still apply, such as the heroās main color being red and having black hair (though Iād also accept white hair), while the first allyās main color is blue. That came from the pattern seen in the previous games with Clink/Kaeris and Kuro/Fina, so thereās no reason not to include it in a proper Evoland 3 concept
Oh also my brain wants a character named Ceres in the game too, even though sheās not the character from 2. Sheās now just recurring characters in the games like Sid because I think she deserves to live a life outside of her game

Random but I quite enjoy how in Super Mario RPG, the party members not only have weapons unique to themselves, but multiple types of weapons that function differently in their attacks
Mario for example has his fists/gloves, hammers and Koopa shells, and the standard attack animation and the timing is different for each type. But it also doesnāt go overboard with each weapon having a unique animation you have to memorize, so itās not like youāve wasted time learning the animations for the previous weapon either
I mean okay I donāt like it as much when Iām playing, but thatās just because Iām stupid and keep messing up the timing when I get a new weapon. Objectively I think itās a cool idea and I feel like itās implemented well with the balance of how many unique weapons you get. And even if youāre like me and suck at the timing initially, you have time to get used to the new attack pattern (plus you get a small indicator signaling when to time your inputs), and itās not too punishing if you canāt get it down consistently
I kind of wish this weapon system could be incorporated into more games now, though that also relies on the battle system incorporating unique weapon attacks, which most games donāt. But still
Another thing but yesterday I was putting down some stuff for hypothetical RPG, as I am wont to do, and I put down the archetypes from Super Mario RPG first since thatās been on my mind. Mario is the basic all-rounder, Mallow is the mage, Iām not too sure what Geno is other than being fast and having a lot of special attacks, Bowser is the tank/physical attacker, and Peach is the healer
And then when I was trying to think up more RPG archetypes, I came to the conclusion: ācrap those are basically all the classes you needā
Like yeah, there are more archetypes, but theyāre either combinations of the previous ones (like Red Mages having both healing and offensive magic), ones that are only significant in particular battle setups (like how an Archer is only a unique addition if thereās a back row in the enemy lines that operates differently from the front row), or rely more heavily on gimmicks (Chemists or other types who rely on Items, Time Mages affecting battle speed, Bards/Dancers who use status moves)
If youāre making an RPG with battle elements at its most basic, the 5 characters in Super Mario RPG are really all you need for your party, and itās probably one of the reasons why thereās only 5 party members
I think last night this revelation sent me into a bit of a crisis, like āwhatās the point of more party members if these are the only ones you need?ā But I think with more thought (Star Ocean was what made me think about this actually), I can see that RPGs usually diversify their party members in more subtle ways, like weapon diversity or more specific gimmicks. Party members can have similar functions, so long as they donāt play exactly the same
But if youāre going barebones RPG, yeah you really only need 4-5 party members
So I donāt know too much about the new Owl House book, but I have seen some of the new outfits for I believe the Abomination funeral, which are more in line with traditional Boiling Isles garments
And can I just say, I like how a lot of things in the Boiling Isles involve more macabre and gorey elements like skulls and bones and I want to say flesh (thereās also fur but that doesnāt tend to have the same associations), but instead of being seen as dangerous and evil theyāre symbols of old traditions being allowed to re-emerge as the Isles heal from Belosā influence
These elements have a positive connotation in the Boiling Isles, likely because their land is made from a Titanās corpse, but they also have a positive connotation in the story as well, weāre supposed to see the bones and traditional clothing and practices as a good thing
Itās neat how Owl House is able to take elements we typically see as villainous and make them positive and part of a landās culture instead
So I had an idea for a potential way one could incorporate Evoland's changing graphics gimmick into a 3rd game, assuming the time travel mechanic from 2 isn't used again
So basically, the idea was that the different graphical styles all technically co-exist, just on different "layers" of reality. Watching a bit of Beast Wars again, and Iām wondering if I could incorporate the whole dynamic with Blackarachnia and Tarantulas with their cyber-link in Season 2 into my old X AU
Blackarachnia didnāt have much going on, and maybe this cyber-link could have something to do with why she doesnāt participate much in the conflict? Though then again I think it was because she was a neutral party, and her connections with Sentinel and Toxitron are something that are meant to be secret
Though itād also give her something interesting to deal with, and she was supposed to be connected to another spider bot anyways

Late night madness is beaming to me: RPG but instead of just fighting God, your mission is to destroy an entire pantheon like itās God of War
Though in addition, my brainās still thinking about the Mario RPGs and their vibes, so add that into the mix and you got cartoony RPG adventure but also youāre killing gods
The ideaās stupid but it also intrigues me and I lowkey want it now. I just donāt know how to get there
So Iāve been drawing more Ralia characters today. Well, technically I started last night when we went out for dinner, but the majority I drew today
We got Marilyn, Marina, Aster and a new character today (though not really since sheās just Marilynās mom), and while characters have obtained outfits and Marilyn and Marina have had tiny tweaks to their designs, thereās not too much going on here, I just wanted to draw the characters doing stuff
Also you get to see some of their tails. I donāt know why I drew them but I did, so there you go
Marilynās sketch I mostly drew last night, and when we were out my pen felt unwieldy and strange, and I think that carried over into Marilynās drawing. Itās weird and places and definitely not the best here, but I was too lazy to redo it, so oh well. Iāll do better next time
Also as mentioned in the scribbles, Iām now considering changing Marilynās name, in part because of how similar it is to Marina but also because it just feels a bit plain, thereās nothing for me to go off of when it comes to other family members. My current new idea is Melody, with her familyās names being music based, as their surname is supposed to be Lyre
Anyways, on to Marina, sheās probably my favorite drawing here, I really like how she turned out. It probably helps that I had a reference for her pose, that being one of Richard Wellingtonās poses in Ace Attorney. Though Iām not 100% on her outfitās colors though, particularly the bright orange in the middle
All else I have to say on Marina is just that I like her as a character. I made a Word doc for all the characters and story beats in Ralia, so I got to flesh her out a little bit more, and sheās pretty fun. Sheās a treasure hunter, and she likes to present herself as cool and confident but sheās pretty goofy when you get down to it. Sheās one of those women that do the āhohohoā with their hand up pose, like Queen from Deltarune, among others I canāt remember. Sheās also one of the few characters here whoās a grown-ass woman and not a child, teen or young adult, so sheās a nice change of pace. Iāll have to work on her and Riverās story more
Anyways, letās move on over to Aster, whom I had a reference for at the beginning with Pearl Fey, but then her hands veered from the reference and thus Iām not sure how good she looks as a result. She might also have a few too many colors going on in her outfit, Iāll need to work on that. Iāve also come to notice that her hair should be in front of her hand, not behind it, but oh well
Other than that, Iāve decided to use the Fey Clan from Ace Attorney as references for Asterās clan and their outfits, since Asterās group gave me similar vibes with their isolation, being mainly women (at least as far as my mindās thought up by this point), and also being magic. Iād like to use whatever the Fey Clanās based on as references so my designs donāt look too similar to theirs, but I donāt know what that is other than something probably traditional Japanese, so right now Iām just using their designs and concepts
Back to Aster, I say in the scribbles that she gets flustered easily, but Iām not sure thatās the correct way to describe whatās going on here; I just donāt know what that way is. I think it might be that sheās a bit of a romantic, as the context is supposed to be that Sora said something that she took as flirting (and he is not prepared for this reaction). I donāt know, but I thought the idea of this pose was cute and befitting her character. Aster endears me but unfortunately Sora is a nothingburger of a character still, so their storyās still in limbo
And then finally we have Melodyās mom Elegy. I mainly drew her because while Melodyās parents come up a lot, Iāve never actually designed either of them so I figured itād be worth a shot to at least try one of them. Not too sure on her design though
I know when designing her I was drawing on Carol Holiday vibes, but unlike Carol who likely has a lot of hidden complexities in her character, the Lyre parents are kind of just assholes. Though truthfully I donāt have much more on them than that. Maybe if I actually made a Melody story Iād have more to work with, but Iām really struggling with what her story should be, outside of the eventual āmy parents are terrible and Iām going to be better than them like my real family Laurenā
Elegyās design and vibes may change with whatever that story decides to bring, but for now sheās cold scary rich lady
And yeah that about wraps things up here. I probably didnāt need to say most of this, but I just felt like yapping
So the other day I decided to try drawing/painting cloudberries since they were on my mind, but I havenāt really felt like continuing it since. But I figured I might as well show what I had done, since I donāt think it looks half bad
This was my reference photo, and while I traced a sketch from it, I also moved things around in the process, so itās not exact
You can also probably tell that I didnāt have a consistent strategy while coloring the berries, I was kind of just learning as I went. Thatās probably one of the main things stopping me from continuing, making all the berries look consistent
But like I said, I think what I have looks pretty good all things considered. Maybe Iāll be motivated to finish it at some point, maybe not. But I figured Iād at least show some of it if I never finish it
Also random but in pondering characters in the Mario and Kirby series, as I was pondering ideas for my own potential silly whimsical RPG, Iāve come to notice certain differences in character designs between the two series
In Kirby, the characters are generally creatures made of blobs/circles, and while some are more clearly animals, a lot of them are nondescript creatures
In Mario however, most of the characters (not counting the regular enemies) are far more humanoid, and even when they arenāt humans, what theyāre based on is generally clear, whether turtles or beans or other things. It also usually means theyāre taller than the average Kirby creature
Iād say the Mario enemies are a lot closer to the general designs of Kirby characters, at least in how theyāre smaller and more nondescript. But theyāre still not quite the same. Kirby enemies are cuter while Mario enemies are a bit more dangerous looking (though still goofy)
I think the best word to describe the Kirby design philosophy is ācuteā, but I havenāt quite figured out what the word for the Mario design philosophy is yet. āGoofyā I think is one word, but not all-encompassing
But the general point is, while the two series give me similar vibes, they definitely arenāt the same, and you can see that in the character designs

Iād probably say my favorite album is āTrue Colorsā by Zedd, every song in there is a banger. āClarityā is also a good album full of bangers outside of the titular song (I LOVE Hourglass and Follow You Down), but itās not all bangers like āTrue Colorsā. I think the Zedd songs with vocals are generally the better ones, and while not bad songs, ones like Stache and Codec arenāt at the same quality as others because of it
Other than that, Iād say āThe Last in Lineā by Dio is another favorite of mine. I havenāt quite listened to all the songs on there, but the titular song is a favorite of mine and Evil Eyes, Mystery, and Egypt (The Chains Are On) are also pretty good
Thereās probably others but I canāt remember them. Though in addition, video game OSTs are also usually among my favorites (though I wouldnāt quite count them since they arenāt the same as regular music albums). Obviously the Undertale and Deltarune OSTs are bangers, but Iāve also enjoyed the Mega Man Zero 1 soundtrack, and while not as consistent, the Mega Man ZX Tunes soundtrack has a lot of other favorites (Area F and Innocence are my top faves). Also Miitopia, you canāt sleep on Miitopiaāa soundtrack
I need more RPGs that have silly, goofy and whimsical worlds. Like Mario or Kirby (even if the latter doesnāt have any RPGs)
The Mario RPGs are such a vibe, and I feel like that particular style in the genre goes underrepresented outside of this series. Instead of humans in a typical fantasy and/or sci-fi world, give me silly, colorful cartoon creatures to cast spells and defeat my enemies
And itās not like this style bars you from telling compelling stories just because of its cartoony nature, as the Mario and once again Kirby games have proven otherwise
Iāve just been playing Super Mario RPG recently, and while I enjoy it and Superstar Saga, I cannot be sustained by only the Mario RPGs, I crave more of this aesthetic
