it's a shame that the trope of a character who looks 12 but is actually 300 years old is usually just used for ick fanservice because on a paper i think the psychology of a person stuck in permanent childhood has a lot of interesting story potential. unfortunately i would not trust a fandom with that character with a 100ft pole.

jinbei is the character of all time. his epithet has insane aura, “the first son of the sea”. he was a pirate captain and a warlord of the sea, and is now the helmsman of this weird rubber kid he met in prison. hes incredibly sweet to his friends and weirdly polite to his enemies. he has frequently bragged/gushed about how awesome luffy is, and is seemingly unaware of this habit and gets embarrassed when its pointed out. he is very logical and level-headed, but also embraces the silliness and whimsy that is thrown his way. when luffy demands the helm for dangerous reasons he just lets him have it with no argument. in his official joining of the crew he asked permission to come aboard, despite being invited like three times at that point. he’s canonically handsome. he bribes luffy with food in order to get him to cooperate. he’s kind of like your uncle that is constantly on sidequests and may be going through a midlife crisis. truly no one is doing it like him

I love browsing cover-up tattoo stuff when every once in a while there's someone asking "how do I cover up this unspeakably idiotic thing" and people are like "please do not cover that up, that's fucking amazing." You just have "shrimps is bugs" written on your leg now. That's your legacy.
