The worst types of cookbook:

The Ottolenghi - it is vital that you use 1g of this very expensive ingredient. It comes from a 500g bag with a one-week shelf life.

The time machine - 15-minute recipe! First, leave to marinate overnight...

The dishwasher - one-pot recipe! Now decant your ingredients and wipe out your pot. And again. And again. And again.

The optimist - cook the onions until caramelised (2 minutes).

The kindergarten teacher - get one nommable little tree of broccoli and bosh that into boiling water. Delish!

The brand names only - ingredients: Ritz crackers, Philadelphia cheese, Cool Whip, orange Jell-o...

The 1950s palate - use one (1) clove of garlic and a small pinch of chili flakes (omit if preferred).

The why bother with a cookbook - to make beans on toast, gently heat a tin of beans and put on top of freshly buttered toast.

China gets new artwork for an upcoming pop up shop in Guangzhou City!

The theme is Football Club - Competitive Moments.

Taichi and Sora are in their player uniforms, and Koushiro is the goalkeeper. Yamato is the referee and Mimi is (obviously) the cheerleader. Hikari seems to be the manager, Jou is the team doctor (?) or coach (?) and lastly Takeru is a support squad member (?) or a fan (?).

This is actually such a good theme (considering the world cup) and the art is just perfect.

I swear if there is someone out there who loves clinging onto Adventure more than me, it's the Toei China team and mad respect to them for that.

The Ipstar collab art last year was insane, and generally all the Digimon merch to come out of China in the last 2-3 years has been amazing. I hope they never get over Adventure (just like me) and keep holding these pop up stores forever.

[Im Juli 1799 wurden in Jena Maximalwerte von 36°C* 29°C gemessen. *edit: mir war der Wert im Nachhinein doch etwas hoch vorgekommen, also habe ich mir die verlinkte Quelle nochmal angesehen und obwohl der Autor das nicht explizit benennt, denke ich jetzt, dass die dort angegebenen Werte doch bereits in Celsius umgerechnet sind und nicht, wie ich dachte, in Réaumur angegeben sind (die zur Messzeit übliche Einheit); wären sie in Réaumur, gäbe es Ende des 18. Jh. mehrfach Werte über 40°C und das halte ich für sehr unwahrscheinlich... ganz so heiß wars bei Schiller also doch nicht — aber: alles ist relativ]
