i feel like the next gen on the morning of the 1st of September at the Burrow, is a lot like Home Alone™

everyone stayed the night at the Burrow

everyone

they’re all catching up with one another

telling each other about the vacations they went on, congratualating a few on promotions and awards, ranting about the stuff that has been happening at their sector of work, and what crazy magic their kids illegally did on their sibling that got them grounded for 3 weeks

all laughing and having great family time

but the morning of September 1st?

all hell breaks lose

parents yelling, animals going berserk, kids scrambling around trying to pack (because you know there is no way in hell they packed the night before, they were all too busy testing the latest Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes’ toys and tricks in the field by the burrow late into the night)

“JAMES YOU DID NOT FORGET YOUR WAND AT THE HOUSE - OH GOOD GOD!”

“ROSE - ROSE YOU ARE NOT BRINGING THAT”

“DOMINIQUE GIVE YOUR SISTER HER SKIRT BACK! OH I DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT DOM”

“TEDDY?! GOD DAMMIT - TEDDY WHERE ARE YOU?”

“FRED WHAT THE HELL DID I SAY?!”

“mOLLY! NO NOT YOU MOLLY, THE OTHER MOLLY!!”

just the biggest, most hectic madness in the world

they have ministry cars that have been waiting on them for an hour but only leave the Burrow 15 minutes before the train leaves the station

the ministry cars hauling ass to get Kings Cross

everyone trying to calm down as they drive to the station, but something just doesn’t seem right

they try to shrug it off, until Hermione gasps, throws out her hands and clutches on to whatever she can to steady herself (which happens to be an alarmed George and a wincing Albus), and screams “HUGO”

She immediately disapparates from the car, to the Burrow where she finds Hugo sitting at the kitchen table, eating the scraps of the porridge, already dressed in his robes, ready for his first day at Hogwarts

She runs over to him and pulls him into a tight, skull crushing hug, smoothing his hair and almost crying

“Mum, it’s oka - mum i know, i get it - we have to - MUM”

They all make it to Kings Cross just as the whistle blows for them to board

All the kids that are still attending Hogwarts flood onto the train to try and stuff themselves all into one compartment together

They wave and scream out the window to their enormous family, making a huge scene that all of them couldn’t care less about

The family waving them off, tears in their eyes, laughing to themselves

“Feels just like when we were scrambling to make it aboard back in the day”

“Yeah, but I wouldn’t have it any other way…”

“Well in that case, next time we could strap Fred and James into a jinxed car and make them travel that way too for old times sake”

1. It slowed the action/took away tension/didn’t fit in the flow. Characterization and relationships and emotion are the action. Always always always leave that stuff in.

2. There wasn’t time. I would 110% sit through five more minutes of a movie to have five more minutes of character-driven interaction.

3. It wasn’t as important/exciting/impressive as the action/fight/montage/dramatic speech/battle/tense scene with a bunch of guys yelling at each other that we needed instead. NEVER TRUE.

Things we 100% will do

- go back and watch the movie over and over in theatres for that scene alone

- discuss with each other in great length and detail about the kiss. hand placements, who initiated it, the type of kiss ect

- patiently wait for someone to make a gif set

- reblog and spam that gif set

- pour through interviews of Kath and Eddie to see if they talk about it

- freak out when they do talk about it

- zoom in, crop it and play it in reverse over and over again

- scream and cry when rewatching the scene

- hyperventilate just before the scene starts

- write fanfics based on the scene

- read the screenplay and fangirl over the printed version

Even though the hope is they start filming soon, I am not holding my breath till March or April of next year. Still, this blog is also gonna remain active till after the FB movies stop coming. 

Newt’s having a hard time tidying up Phoebe’s hair… But he’ll get it eventually :)

Fanart I made of Tina when I really should have been studying for finals. I think a lot of people probably feel the same way as I do since I see so many new fanfics/art online. We can’t help it…

I know maybe it’s kinda late to talk about this, but I can’t help.

We all know in the end of FBAWTFT it’s kinda debatable about Elder Wand mastery. Is it already transfered into Newt or Tina when they captured Grindelwald? Or is it still on Grindelwald?

On Pottermore, it wrote only men (wizard) have claimed ownership (of Elder Wand), as far we know.

But then, the article teased this:

They teased about possibility of Tina Goldstein as the Elder Wand’s master.

I know in CoG, this plot looks like abadoned and didn’t get mentioned at all. But why they still need to teased about this?

Maybe, this mastery will be main plot on the future FB movies?

And then, it will turned out Tina is really a master of Elder Wand and the ONLY WITCH who had mastery it, but then it went undocumented for some reasons? And then, the mastery is switch again to Grindelwald, then Dumbledore in final.
