I wanted to see how Sonic Team (And Silver) looked like in Final Fantasy 15 garb, needless to say i'm happy with the results!

The day rolled on by, Tails was standing in the middle of an arena designed for observing new robots Eggman or his engineers supplied. He held a Phantom Ruby Prototype in his hand, looking at his reflection in it. He clenched it and looked around at all the people on the other side of the Plexiglass windows, whispering to each other and shaking their heads. Eggman was in the middle of the crowd, watching the fox boy closely.

‘Just you watch Eggman, here in a little bit, I’m going to be the strongest operative you have…”

Tails thought to himself as he watches him back. Tails looked up at the people again and saw them doing the same things as before, whispering and thinking he was going to die. There was one however that made him stare. A rabbit mobian, he was a very strange looking rabbit, his hands, feet, and entire body, Roboticized. A term used for Mobian bodies changed by Eggman to be the perfect soldiers, Tails couldn't tell if he was fully robot or still had free will. He just kept staring at him, The rabbit then put on some goggles, Tails could see the goggles were mechanical as well probably giving him information on Tails’ Chaotic Level. The rabbit smirked after a little while, shaking his head like the others and mouthing. ‘No chance’ towards Tails, and turned around, his scarf flowing a little.

Tails growled at him and bore his fangs.

‘After I beat this, he’s going down first….’

A long beep was heard and Tails turned his attention towards Eggman who had a Microphone given to him by Orbot.

“Thank you all for coming to this special event, Today you will either see a boy rise… or fall. My money’s on the second, however, miracles do happen do they?”

He laughs a little.

“Mr. Prower, step forward with the Ruby Prototype in hand.”

Tails nodded and did as he instructed, holding the Ruby up.

“Now bring in the Transference machine…”

Eggman’s voice boomed, as two giant doors inside the arena type observatory opened and brought in the Machine in question that Tails and the Doctor had worked on for so long. It had the power to transfer the Ruby’s power to anything they wanted to, be it a living thing or non-living thing, today it would be used for both. The machine hummed with life and made Tails a little nervous, but he steeled his nerve and kept holding the Prototype in his hands.

“Any last words? Mr. Miles?”

Eggman asked him, Tails only stood there holding the ruby waiting for the blast.

“Begin!”

The Machine sparked with Reddish and Purple energy, jumping into Tails' prototype ruby, he could feel the immense power already. His legs and knees wobbled under the pressure, his hands, arms, and body locked in place by some unknown force.

Was this fear?

Was it determination?

Or was it something else?

Whatever it was Tails was fading fast, he sputtered nonsense from his lips trying to stay focused on channeling the power into his body, but he started to go down on one knee.

On Dr. Eggman’s side, he saw that Tails’ vitals had begun to drop rapidly, his body couldn't handle even a slight increase of power. It was only 40,000 when Tails started to give way.

Tails was now on the ground still holding the ruby up, by some strange force. He looked around him and saw the people shaming him, looking down at him, maybe this was crazy of him to do...

No.

This was something he needed to do.

Not because of power, not because of people’s respect or even authority. This was for getting back at the ones who made him this way. One eye cut, one tail lost, his voice never to come back, this was for revenge on Sonic… if he won this battle with the Ruby, he would be one step closer. This was to prove a point, a point that he would not rest until he had gotten his revenge.

Dr. Eggman saw his vitals waning at 10 Percent.

5 Percent.

1 Percent.

Tails stood back up with every bit of power he had and held on as much as could, his body being torn from the inside out, blood gushing from his mouth. The pain coursing through him, he wanted it to stop, but he couldn't give up… not now. Tails felt the beam become stronger into the ruby.

Eggman saw the number rise.

400,000.

500,000.

The other mobians started looking on in amazement, some cheered, others yelled at him to give it up and die already.

Tails felt the ruby slip from his grasp, he felt the beam push him back against a wall and the ruby burning through his chest where it now laid. He screamed out in agony and pain, as it seared his fur and flesh, his eyes rolling to the back of his head.

700,000.

800,000.

Tails’ body was now engulfed in the purple energy, changing his fur color slowly to black. Stripes of grey marking his sides, his fangs becoming sharper, his left eye becoming fully red while his right kept its white. From the back of his head white strands of hair sprouted, the pain shooting through him as they growled out into locks.

900,000.

1,000,000.

The Beam shut off and Tails dropped to the floor, completely motionless, his body surged with energy. And the prototype fully embedded into his chest.

Eggman looked over to his monitor. Tails was still alive, his body had taken it. Now he needed to recover, Eggman sent his team in to take the boy to the medbay. He chuckled to himself.

“Well, Well, Well… It seems as though I have made the right choice. This war… Is over.”

Basically this Headcannon has Tails taken from the Resistance, tortured for 3 months, losing a tail, partially losing vision in his right eye, and being exerted to so much pain his voice is now nothing but a hoarse whisper.

For this time Tails belived his friends would save him, but then Dr. Eggman shows him the truth. Using Silvers Power, they opened a portal to another dimension and took a Tails from there. Dr. Eggman explained that when another version is pulled across the dimensions they are injectes with memories of the previous version and given the form of said version.

Tails was heartbroken, watching them hug and welcome the other Tails back. He struck up a bargin with the Doctor. He would help him on his side, but he wanted only one thing in return.

"I want Sonic dead at my feet... I want to be the one to kill him."

Eggman agreed and showed him his facilities... and The Phantom Ruby. Stolen from another dimension by his robots and now used to power his War Machines.

Tails looked at the ruby, its purple glow reflecting off his eyes, he wanted its power. It was the key to his revenge...

To Prove a Point Part 1.

After knowing of his fate, being left behind by The Resistance, Tails now worked with Doctor Eggman for the Eggman Empire. He was now, in the middle of Villains, Mercenaries, and Robots, and now he called himself one of them. He helped the doctor with his scheme to find an ultimate power source, he had made millions of Phantom Ruby Prototypes, but none had made a breakthrough as the real thing did. They either broke, shattered, or vanished, due to the Phantom Ruby’s power infused into them. Every single failure made Tails ornery, and even more upset as nothing seemed to be working. He then had an idea, the Real Ruby was attached into a machine that powered Eggman’s Robotic Facility, to make another replica it would need a host. Tails made a compositions notebook on the theory and presented it to the Doctor.

Eggman took the notebook and read about the theory, he hummed questionably and fixed his glasses from time to time. After a few more of this and some silence, Eggman put the papers down and looked the Fox straight in the eyes.

“It is an interesting theory, one that my mind was pondering for quite some time…”

Eggman’s Words made Tails confident in a strange way.

“However, your methods of achieving this are questionable at best…”

Eggman flipped open the book to a tab that was marked earlier by him in the reading.

“It says here, and I quote.

‘I do not intend to use mechanical means to achieve a catalyst for the Prototype Ruby.’”

He shuts the book again and the light reflects off of his glasses.

“Then tell me, my dear traitor Fox boy, what do you intend to use…?”

Tails smirked and leaned forward in his chair opposite from Eggman.

“Isn't it obvious Doctor? I intend to use a Live Test Subject.”

Eggman grumbled, he knew what other method there would be, but he wasn't convinced on the practice.

“Explain this little plan of yours Miles.”

Tails hadn't heard that name in a while, he sighed and leaned back to get comfortable.

“Your forces crave power Eggman, they would do anything for it, to climb to the top. So we use that drive to our advantage, we spread rumors of unlimited power… One that could rival The Ultimate Lifeform himself. Then people would want to try and seize it, then we strike…”

Tails pounds the table for emphasis.

“We have an open offer to everyone, try your luck and see if anyone can handle the power of the Phantom Ruby…”

Eggman listened to the Fox boy, then grins slightly at his last sentence and the methods he was offering.

“What makes you think that anyone could handle the Phantom Ruby’s power?”

He asks intrigued.

“I’ve seen Mobians take the power of Chaos Emeralds and Sol Emeralds… If they can handle that power, then one can handle the Phantom Ruby…”

Eggman started to laugh at the boy, making Tails confused.

“What's so funny Doctor?”

Eggman stood up slightly from his chair and smiled.

“Do you know how powerful the Ruby is boy? What number on the scale it reads?”

Tails shook his head.

“No, enlighten me.”

“I did extensive research on the Ruby, far before your kind even knew of it… The Ruby has enough power to make my entire facility produce power tenfold… My robots scanned the Master Emerald shortly after if I was to switch the two. My entire facility would only have enough power to make the lights turn on.”

“I-I don't see your point…”

Tails stuttered because of the sheer magnitude of the Ruby, Eggman could see right through it.

“Yes it really is amazing, isn't it? The Phantom Ruby’s power baffles even my mind at times…”

Tails looked over to the side, then thought of something.

“Doctor, I’m not asking anyone to take the full power of the Phantom Ruby… We just need a fraction and if it is as great as your making out to be, then we only need that fraction to make your army stronger!”

Eggman hummed, putting a hand on his chin, scratching it, Tails took this opportunity and rushed to Eggman with his notes turning to a page with his calculations.

“See here!”

Tails pointed to the power a prototype could take without breaking on its own.

“The power already is immense clocking in at 100,000 MegaWatts of power! On a Chaotic Level that's immense, with a Physical Host, it could double or even triple!”

The Doctor nodded his head and took his notes, jotting down a formula.

“Now… if we double that the host’s power would be on a Chaotic Level…”

Eggman did some math and the answer made their jaws drop.

“1-1 Million?”

Tails stuttered.

“That is… beyond anything I’ve seen from Sonic or Blaze or even Silver…”

Eggman then sighed, looking over in defeat.

“And they only clock in at 500,000, to have someone from my army try it, as greedy as they are, we would have no army in a matter of days… I cannot allow that to happen Tails.”

Eggman got out of chair fully and shook his head.

“Back to the drawing board, I suppose…”

Tails saw the doctor leave and felt angry at his back to him, how dare he do this to him? Eggman may have taken him in away from the resistance and gave him a second chance, minus the initial torture, he still didn't find the Doctor’s authority and thinking to be completely right. He had to think of something, something quick to make this plan work. Tails knew it would work, it was going to work, he just needed the Doctor to approve it! Something anything to stop him from leaving!

“I’ll do it!”

He blurted out loudly to the doctor and then instantly regretted it, was he crazy?

Eggman stopped in his tracks however and humored the boy.

“Oh really now?”

Eggman grinned.

“Some things never change from you Tails, your heroic, ‘I can do anything’ attitude is one of them… Your Chaotic level has only clocked in at 35,000. Your body would shrivel and die from the Phantom Ruby's sheer power… Perhaps you lost your common sense when your tail was taken off?”

Tails grunted and held onto his last tail, looking at it in shame and sadness, but then his mind had an idea from the same disability he had.

“Well if this is true Eggman, what have you got to lose?”

He smirked and walked towards him, knowing from his face he had hooked him in.

“You have all my notes… And I’ve served my purpose, haven't I? If I try this, then you’ll be getting rid of your one potential problem and you’ll even give your boys a little morale boost. Seeing a hero die is always fun right?”

Tails stood face to face with the doctor, grinning at him, Eggman grinned back chuckling a little.

“In fact i’m practically dead already aren't I?”

“Hehehe… I think maybe you losing that tail made you mad, but you make a good point. Alright, we’ll do your little plan Tails if you understand your life would be in jeopardy that is…?”

Tails nodded and let out a laugh of his own.

“Of course, Doctor.”
