I’ll start! My first language is English (specifically American English lol) but I’ve been learning Spanish for five years and counting and I consider myself mostly fluent (not native level by any means but I can read/listen/write/speak well enough, and my abilities there aren’t much worse than in English, though my vocabulary is definitely less robust). I know a bit of French from my mom and middle school, and can figure some other things out à la Spanish. I can also swear in six languages (I don’t but I could lol) (I forgot asl. Seven.)

I've also been forcibly learning irish since I was three years old, but genuinely I know nothing. I'm not fluent, I'm nothing close to fluent. so.. yay for wasted time ig?

I have also been learning Spanish for a bit, and I think I'm a lot better than that, not fluent, but I can hold some basic conversation and that.

I'm speaking Ukrainian and russian fluently. I'm learning English (mostly through gay fanfics and Tumblr lol). I've been studying German at school, but I didn't really enjoy it, so I won't study it anymore. Now I'm learning Esperanto.

Also I have a bunch of languages I study slowly, like, I only do lessons ones on a while (and I'm okay with that). That's Ukrainian sign language, Spanish and Latin.

I only want to be good at English, Esperanto Ukrainian sign language and ASL (Also Ukrainian and russian, but I already know them so it doesn't count.) Every other language I learn purely for fun and I couldn't care less if I'm good at them or not. I just like learning languages :D

Because I live in Canada, and because we have both French and English as national languages, there is a thing called French Immersion where teachers who are bilingual teach a student in both languages from Elementary School. It's optional, but us "Frenchies" and the English kids at any school that provides the program always have a satirical feud. Sooo I have been in that program since Grade 1, and have been learning almost every subject in French since that time, meaning I'm pretty good at understanding, writing, and reading the language. It also helps me pick up other languages, so I've been very slowly learning Spanish

so i'm fluent and romanian and english

i did 12 fucking years of german in school and i only know a few words and like the basic rules of how to pronounce stuff. so i could probably read german out loud decently, but i couldn't tell you what any of it means. that language just didn't want to stick to my brain

i'm trying to learn italian. i was able to order food/coffee in italian when i was in sicily last month and i can understand bits of conversation so i'd say i'm a2 level. you'd think it'd be easier because it's so close to romanian but my brain doesn't seem to want to learn any more stuff
