#7 is when I started to ship them #now looking back I really like their previous seasons dynamic and I appreciate some of the things he did but they were so sweet in season 7 #and it's too bad SMG couldn't star in Angel season 5 but she had her reasons I guess I'm just a sucker for Spike with a soul

#I got an answer for another english pair (fictional)#when I saw that Phil was the sun and Dan was the moon I thought about Lister/Rimmer from Red dwarf (a Scifi show that started in the 80s)#Lister makes a speech about how he is the sun and Rimmer the moon and without the sun or without the moon there can't be moonlight #and even though the moon can't make light - moonlight exists #also there's this whole thing about how Rimmer doesn't exist because he's a hologram of a dead person but I could go on about this #their dynamic is different but there is something similar I think

#I wanna talk about the Doctor from Doctor Who #I stumbled upon series 4 (still my favorite) with Catherine Tate and David Tennant #I think it was Fires of Pompei and maybe Silence in the Library #And I really loved it like a lot #A few years later people were talking about Doctor Who on a habbo clone (yeah ik crazy place to acquire a blorbo)#I decided to watch it knowing I would end up seeing David Tennant again #I watched series 1 impatient but still found it amazing especially Father's Day and the earth turning speech from Rose #also ofc The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances (which I was not so scared of as a teenager)#And he became my blorbo although my fave is Twelve #Ten is not far behind

for those who don’t remember, “mole interest” was an experiment I did 2 years ago because I wanted to test what causes tags to go trending on tumblr. My hypothesis was that all it takes is one (1) post blowing up in an established tag to make the entire tag trend.

I had randomly generated 2 words, which is where “mole interest” came from. I failed to consider that by generating a new tag, it wouldn’t have had enough posts already in it to prove what I now call “the mole interest effect”.

But now it does.

In 2023, we said “fuck it” a la mythbusters and ended up doing whatever it took to get #mole interest to trend. And it did. And it happened to be September 11th that day, and we managed to get #mole interest to trend ABOVE #9/11.

So, in the name of science, I ask you to reblog just this post. Let’s put the mole interest effect to the test.
