Birding around

i was made fun of enough times by adults, by peers, for liking something and wanting to share it that i just. didn’t. anymore. 

dont fucking tease kids for liking things. even if you think its cringe. ESPECIALLY. if you think its cringe. because the way you speak and act towards them when they are sharing themselves with you STICKS and they will think of it years down the line.

“What’s that you’re drawing?”

*panicking* “It’s nothing, I’m sorry, I’ll put it away.”

“No it’s okay, I was just curious about it.”

“It’s nothing. I don’t want to get in trouble.”

“You’re not in trouble, I just thought it looked like a character from a video game I like.”

Her face *lit up* the second I gave her the smallest bit of approval. She started asking me if I’d heard of various AUs for Undertale, and I tried to follow along as she explained her favorites. I obviously had to keep an eye on the rest of the class, answering questions and helping with algebra, but each time I passed her desk she had more things to tell me.

I noticed how when dragons are depicted "wyvern-style" with only four limbs, they use their wings to walk on all fours like a bat or a pterosaur, while traditional dragons with four legs plus wings walk on their four legs while folding their wings to their sides or back, like a bird.

I thought it would be visually interesting to mix the two, with a traditional dragon using all four legs plus its clawed wingtips to walk, but I'm wondering how to go about it. Would the four legs be directly under its body like a dinosaur's legs while the wings are more splayed out? Would it sort of make a "crutching" motion with the wings while walking normally with the four main legs?

this would work best for a dragon living in a rough terrain of some kind, whenever just flying would actually be more energy than its worth or when their hunting tactics are better on the ground than in flight.

maybe a dragon in a very rocky location with a lot of narrow canyons and overhangs and such, so its prey can easily escape it while it's flying and there's not as much space to spread its wings when it goes low. Or maybe a smaller forest dragon using its wings as the longer limbs that are able to reach between branches to navigate the canopy instead of crawling through the underbrush.

Diana beheads Medusa, a lady who has snakes on her head thanks to Athena cursing her, but who is otherwise as human as anyone else, on live national television, to save millions of lives. Nothing from Batman and Superman. Not a blip. No effect on their friendship.

Diana snaps Maxwell Lord's neck to save millions of lives, after exhausting every other option: GET OUT DIANA! HOW COULD YOU! OUR FRIENDSHIP IS OVER!!!

And Greg points this out! That the only difference is Medusa looks scary!

She is saying this to Batman! She is reminding him about Medusa, that she did that too, and got no pushback from him when that happened! But does he respond? No. He tells her to get out.

And that's what DC seems unable to truly take their heroes to task for. Diana has killed monsters that are fully sentient before and gotten no pushback. I believe there are even comics where Clark and Bruce do the same. So, according to Clark and Bruce, several times throughout the history of comics, if you've got some sort of creepy or alien appearance, your humanity is forfeit, you don't have the same rights as anyone else.

Diana simply does not have that hypocrisy. Your actions make you monstrous to her, not your face.
