Break from my Joku case break, but well I felt forced to, but it has a positive ending.

Joku announced she'll be at Japan Weekend, a comic con very popular in Spain. And chose participate in one in my area, she knows it, and if I know her, she just wanted a reaction out of me and that she got. Maybe she regrets it now :)

While I tried warning the event months prior, they ignored me. And they ignored me now as well, so ofc many were outraged and voiced their concerns publicly. The convention silenced us, blocked some, deleted our comments and said to send an email. We did and still no reply.

However, other artists have taken notes, saw the video and proofs and some of them even had the misfortune of getting to know Joku irl (some had bad experiences to share), so they're sharing amongst the artist alley. A friend of Joku was preparing a Stamp Rally, but it was cancelled after artists found out what she did, they didn't want to partake in that.

And all this noise reached some that suggested to ask help to ANAR foundation, a non-profit dedicated to help children and teens in difficult situations.

They replied immediately.

They're opening a case file.

After contacting the police here and receiving the cold shoulder, finally someone is willing to look into it. This is great news.

The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve. 

Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.

If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.

Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.

Staff has officially posted an update regarding the reblog decoupling, and while they are reversing the change for now, we need to look closely at the language they are using. This is a classic example of corporate "double speak" designed to de-escalate a PR crisis while keeping the door open for the same harmful features later.

The Red Flag:

"We still believe there's a better version of how reblogs can work. One that gives every voice in a chain the credit it deserves. But we want to get there with you."

The Breakdown: When they say they want to give every voice the credit it deserves, they are still justifying the decoupling of notes. They are framing the destruction of the original creator's attribution as a feature for the rebloggers or the loss of community. Their goal hasn't changed. They just realized their current execution was a technical and social disaster.

They also mention working "directly with some of you." This often means selecting a small, curated group of "power users" who may not prioritize the accessibility or safety needs that we have been fighting for.

Oh, no. Oh, dear. We have awful news. We accidentally added group chats to Tumblr.

Group chats are a place for you to connect with other people on Tumblr to discuss things that are important to you—like long Furby, or your favorite fandom.

It’s terribly upsetting, but this is going to make it even easier to connect with like-minded people and find new communities you might not know existed.

We have no idea how this came to be

Each group chat can hold up to 100 members. To make matters worse, you can create and join as many group chats as your beating heart desires.

The only good news we can give at this time

Group chats must be a friendly and welcoming space for everyone. When you create a group chat, you become the sole owner and are responsible for how it is run. You alone can invite new members and accept or deny incoming requests to join. Just remember: group chats are publicly viewable, and while only members may participate, anyone on Tumblr can see its contents.

As the owner of a group chat, you possess the power to remove any member or message you feel needs to be removed. However, you do not need to be the owner or even a member to report a violation of our hate speech policy or other aspects of our Community Guidelines. Reports will be properly dealt with by our Trust & Safety team.

Based on my own past experience with said individual, what’s being exposed reflects a pattern that has been going on for a long time and hasn’t changed at all.

This isn’t about my story, I’m just a former partner who recognizes and doesn't condone their behavior. The focus should stay on the people speaking out now, and on preventing vulnerable people from falling into cycles of manipulation of any kind, by anyone.

To the Undertale / Undertale AUs fandom: please don’t turn Dreamtale into the main focus here. This has been happening for almost 10 years, with no real change, improvement, or acknowledgment. Serious issues are being discussed, and people have been hurt. That needs to be the priority.

Estoy compartiendo esto en apoyo a las víctimas.

Tomando mi propia experiencia pasada con dicho individuo, lo que se está exponiendo aquí refleja un patrón que ha estado ocurriendo durante mucho tiempo y que no ha cambiado en absoluto.

Esto no se trata de mi historia. Solo soy una ex-pareja suya que reconoce y desaprueba este comportamiento. El enfoque debe mantenerse en las personas que están hablando ahora y en prevenir que personas vulnerables caigan en ciclos de manipulación de cualquier tipo, por parte de cualquiera.

Koa and the team are working on it, but it's absolutely awful how, when they think they're done editing the video, new testimonies appear. The latest one being fairly recent, like 3 years ago.

I'm not editing or doing much, just moral support, because there are personal issues I have to attend to (like it or not). But I'll be back to translate everything. Pretty sure it will be at least a 2 parts video.

We're prioritizing making everything in Spanish since the bast majority of victims are from the Hispanic community. And just because I know some have been worried about legal issues: there is a lawyer in the team.
