something that really disturbs me is that sushi is suddenly having a surge of popularity here to the point its being sold at deli counters & as ready meals in shops etc, BUT one of the most popular flavours by a long shot seems to be chicken katsu sushi. chicken katsu sushi. now i don't eat meat anyway but there's no way that can be good. there's no way anybody is like yeah this sushi is nice but you know what would it improve it? if i was eating cold chicken curry instead

this is a result of i think the really unfortunate habit of a large part of the irish population to exclusively eat fried chicken or chicken curry with chips in various forms and never eat vegetables. people here have got to start eating vegetables. it's just not okay to go into a chinese takeaway and ask for "a spice bag with no veg and curry sauce on the side". why is literally everybody doing this
