Favourite F1 drivers are: Oscar Piastri, George Russell, Kimi Antonelli and Alex Albon. (You won’t be seeing driver hate on here, I do like some over others but I don’t HATE any.)

It's almost been 4 years since The Tweet™. I've been clearing out my notes recently and came across a note where i tried to piece together the whole timeline.

here's the timeline i ended up with:

late '21 - Alpine signs Oscar as reserve driver for '22 after he won the F2 championship.

October/November '21 - Oscars signs a Heads of Terms (HoT) agreement with Alpine (not really a contract, it's more so that it's clear for both parties what to expect from each other. conditions and deadlines with as goal to eventually promote Oscar to a full time D1 seat).

early '22 - Alpine has the Williams plan, negotiations happen but nothing is finalized.

first half '22 - Oscars management (Mark Webber and Ann Neal) are concerned since Alpine hasn't confirmed the F1 seat.

13/06/'22 - rumors starts that Oscar has signed with Williams (on loan from Alpine and that he'll eventually drive for Alpine)

04/07/'22 - in secret, Oscar signs a contract with McLaren

early 07/'22 - Mark Webber (Oscars manager) informs Alpine that Oscar has signed with McLaren. so Alpine knows weeks before anything happens publicly.

28/07/'22 - Sebastian Vettel announces his retirement, opening up a seat at Aston Martin. "Seb has Instagram?!"

01/08/'22 - Fernando Alonzo announces he'll be leaving Alpine for Aston Martin (he was not exactly happy at Alpine)

02/08/'22 (2:11 PM BST) - literally next day Alpine announces Oscar as their '23 driver

02/08/'22 (3:54 PM BST) - exactly 1 hour and 43 minutes later posts The Tweet™.

09/08/'22 - Alpine announces it'll take this to the FIA's Contract Recognition Board (CRB)

24/08/'22 - McLaren and Daniel Riccardo agree to part ways at the end of the '22 season

29/08/'22 - the CRB unanimously rules that Oscars only valid F1 contract for the '23 season is with McLaren

02/09/'22 - McLaren officially announces Oscar as their driver

29/09/'22 - Oscar says in a interview that Alpine had broken his trust probably because of the uncertainty around the '23 in early '22

this all is so crazy but i think that this year if Max Verstappen decides to sign with Mercedes that silly season will be 10 times crazier.

oscar like, upon sober second thought i realize that my angry comments against my team were unwarranted. i wanted them to base lando's strategy on what would be best for me but actually that was unfair because we're not the only two cars on track. now that i've had time to think about it and i'm feeling more calm and level headed i realize the only problem was MOTHERFUCKING CARLOS THE RUINER OF LIVES THE BIGGEST IDIOT ON THE GRID THE MONSTER WHO LIVES UNDER CHILDREN'S BEDS WHO RUINED MY RACE DELIBERATELY AND WITH INTENT BECAUSE HE'S SO FUCKING STUPID.

imagine lando and oscar not being teammates anymore (knock wood) and lando being an absolute nightmare to oscar’s new teammate on track, just like carlos is with oscar but like- 10x worse…

Oh he would be so petty about it. He would impede qualifying laps on purpose when Oscar’s new teammate was doing well (would not be concerned about the penalty at all) be an absolute snitch on the radio about them, and it would go off track too. Like the sly little comments.

I’m on a much needed break and queuing this post; but feeling both happy for Lando and optimistic for Oscar again. I do want to touch on dash etiquette though in terms of tagging. Seeing some anti Oscar posts from beloved mutuals is always hard but especially when they aren’t tagged - a humble and gentle reminder to be respectful! It was a tough day for Oscarinas and I would hope that that would be understood. As much as I love Lando, I have moments where things are tense and I could have choice words, but I make it a point to not reblog anti stuff or, at worst, ensure I tag anything. It should be reciprocal, let’s respect one another especially when we’re all friends in the same community!! I know we all have a little hater in us but it just feels jarring to see it on my dash when it’s supposed to be such a 481 curated space lol

perhaps it’s my Oscar bias showing and can I say I DONT HATE CARLOS but the fact he was like “it’s racing” when asked about the fact he made contact with Oscar. like what the actual fuck. you’re in P15, and Oscar at that point was in the net lead, and if not that at least a podium finish. there’s a blue flag. And he’s got mirrors.

and also it’s not the first time he’s impeded in a similar way either, it’s almost always Carlos causing this sort of issue
