I've said it before: I'm not optimistic about the Warhammer TV show, like...at all.

But I will say I'm particularly bothered by the prospect it could end up being about Demetrian Titus. That's the worst possible outcome to me. I hope to GOD it's not Titus.

I was trying to figure out why I feel that way. I think it's because when a lot of people first look into Warhammer, their initial assumption is that Astartes are a dumb male power fantasy. Then you peel back 1-2 layers to find it's actually a subversion of the male power fantasy, it's a critique and send-up of patriarchy.

But with Titus/the general vibe of the Space Marine games, it's like...it just is a male power fantasy? It's about being a cool strong dude fighting bad guys with other cool strong dudes and one bitchmade guy tries to ruin your life but, after stoically enduring some trials and tribulations, you surmount his nerd cop bullshit to ultimately become one of the most important cool strong dudes. It kind of embodies everything you hope Warhammer isn't

It feels like it's made with the YouTube Shorts guys in mind. You know?

And, god, I could see them adapting Demetrian Titus for TV because that shit is more palatable for the general American market than "The male power fantasy is a lie, patriarchy is scamming you"
