i use the word "possession"/"possession adjacent" as an umbrella term to refer to any tropes wherein a character is controlled or influenced! basically, if a character is not fully in control of their actions, then i like it. supernatural possession, sci-fi mind control, perception control, puppeteering, parasites, alter egos (not alters) (stop acting like alter egos and alters are the same thing), berserk/frenzy modes, etc., i love all of it
i have been intensely fixated on the concept of possession since i was 5 or 6 (not an exaggeration) i think it's more of a core personality trait than an interest at this point. i was already making documents trying to sort and categorize different types of possession by the time i was 9
i just really enjoy thinking about the nuances of different types of possession and which types would be best suited to different characters! it makes me very happy to think about :-)
if you want to call us by a collective name you can go for John Possession/Possessable/Possessee/etc.
the possession interest is not related to my systemhood at all. i actually do not like to associate them
