wanted to add that while academic dishonesty and the use of chatgpt by students will have more immediate, obvious, and fatal impacts on fields within STEM and medicine, they will also be extremely harmful for society when used in the study of social sciences and humanities.

the study of history, philosophy, religion, anthropology, art, literature, etc is crucial to understanding and empathizing with our fellow humans, structuring society, avoiding repeating past horrors, and, in some cases, keeping factual records for other fields.

like... the misrepresentation or outright fabrication of historical events that chatgpt causes can have disastrous, long term consequences.

the relationship between drag and transfem identity is long and complicated and there's a lot to say BUT ALSO it's super clear when someone's primary understanding of transfemininity comes from drag and frankly i think more people should be ashamed of that

and like TO BE CLEAR obviously you get cishet people who genuinely do not understand that "drag queen" and "trans women" are two separate but related concepts, BUT ALSO sometimes you see art made by and for queer audiences, and the transfem representation clearly has the mannerisms and fashion choices of a drag queen despite no evidence that they're part of that subculture.

like; whatever the reason, a very large portion of the transfem community does not do drag, does not watch drag, and does not particularly like drag. for someone to clearly base their understanding of what a transfem looks and acts like on drag tells me that the only time they look at and pay attention to transfeminity is this specific slice of queer culture- a slice primarily by and for cis men. there are clearly no transfems in their lives that they did not meet through drag, because literally any of our wider culture or mannerisms that aren't on RuPaul would have bled through.

like hey, non-transfems, think about what that pattern implies for the wider queer community's relationship to trans women; that so so many of our supposed community members only care about us when we are literally performing for them.

#thinking of my transfem coworker who felt it was weird she didn't enjoy drag as a (at the time) trans woman #it's interesting how it seems to be 'mandatory' to a lot of people but i like this analysis of performance #wish i had read this when we had that convo!!

Ok, mother of GOD that's a lot of responses and I am but one man with Excel. I'll update these ASAP but also some rules:

A Pokemon only counts for itself, not its evolution line.

A Pokemon with multiple forms (like Zygarde) will only be counted for the specified form. A Pokemon with multiple appearances (like Spinda, Vivillon, Sylvally, etc.) count for all their appearances.

I'm literally doing this as a testament to my own depression that not everyone is lovable, so add that to the weight of this post's meaning.
