Just entered Magma Hideout and ran into a Squirtle!!!

Maximilian the Squirtle. Joins Mahzun as an original starter in a Premier Ball. Just missing Bulbasaur now to complete the set. His colour scheme is nice, though Keen Eye is a weak replacement to his original Torrent. And in 6 levels he will already be a Blastoise!

While fighting on the water routes, caught a Krabby.

Basia the Krabby. I like her colour scheme. The ability Speed Boost is only useful in long worn out battles which I hate, while her original Hyper Cutter prevents Attack from being reduced which is nice, and out of battle doubles the radius which cut can be used to remove grass. How crazy is that? Cut can be used to remove grass, much better than a repel. Basia is the Ashkenazi pronunciation of Batyah (בַּתְיָה), a Biblical Hebrew name of Pharaoh's daughter, and means "daughter of God"

So finished with the trainers on the water routes - one pokemon evolved and two were captured.

The evolution was Eustacia.

Florianne the Psyduck. Her colour scheme is nice, looks more like a water type than the original, and resembles Golduck, wonder what her evolution's colour will be? and Pickup is a cool ability. Florianne is a French name derived from the Latin flos meaning "flower". Ha? Psyduck a flower?

Nelda the Jolteon. Her colour scheme is great, looking great in red. But rain dish as an ability? Nelda is probably from Nell, which is the diminutive of Eleanor, Ellen or Helen. One theory is that it may have arisen from the medieval affectionate phrase mine El, which was later reinterpreted as my Nel.

Sorry about the lack of updates lately, but I have been kept busy. Anyways updates will probably be sporadic in the upcoming month, and after that I will be on a half-year hiatus.

Anyway, I'm kind of stuck right now at Lilycove City and I don't remember where I'm meant to go next, so I backtracked a bit in the meantime to fight trainers on the water routes between Slateport City and Dewford Town. So Edith evolved into Dugtrio, always struck me funny that three angry Digletts hanging out evolve into a Dugtrio...

Caught Ziba the Igglybuff. I already have her evolution, but this IS pokemon and I must catch them all, so I'll let her hang out in my nursery with my other baby pokemon...

So I found these few, who in the big hiatus I forgot about, luckily I left myself a notepad about it, and I now found it and am bringing you up-to-speed...

So in a trainer battle with a hiker at jagged pass I met a red Mew, it looks great! It used transform on Vitalijus so I switched out to Swati and liquidated it (ha ha water is a liquid).

then on Route 111 I caught:

Orrin the Remoraid. His colour isn't to special but Run Away is fun for those pesky wilds who won't let you go. I actually started training him up to evolve, but he was fun with his Aurora Beam and Psybeam, so I've decided I'll level him competitively, not letting him evolve till he learns what I want (earlier than his evolution) and then evolve him. Orrin is an Irish name derived from Odhrán meaning "little pale green one".

Delicia the Carvanha. Her colour scheme is nice and Limber is a good ability, though Rough Skin is by far funner. Delicia is a rare English name derived either from the Latin deliciae meaning "delight, pleasure" or is a variant of the English word delicious. It has only been used since the 20th century (rarely).

Chizoba the Ditto. Got my breeder... Nothing really matters about it because the only thing it is used for is breeding. Chizoba is an Western African name meaning "God protect us" in Igbo. nuff said.

Inside the Mirage Tower I caught Eustacia the Mankey. Her colour scheme is nice, anything nearly is better than her plain original look. Her ability Swarm is pointless though which is unfortunate, since Vital Spirit is good. Eustacia is a rare English name derived from the Greek name Eustachys (Ευσταχυς) meaning fruitful. Well she does look like a banana...

Legendary master of Gen III, Rayquaza, battled me. and lost.

With the runs to-and-fro between Mt. Pyre and the pokecenter, I caught a pink little ball of cuteness.

Martina the Spoink. She is absolutely adorable, her colour scheme is a complete invert from the original. I like the ability too, preventing poisoning is better than heat-and-cold protection.

Edith the Diglett. Well her colour scheme is a bit funny - she looks sick, but she is a pretty solid ground pokemon. And while Flash Fire is a nice ability it works much better for fire-type pokemon. Edith is an Anglo-Saxon name derived from the Old English name Eadgyð, which is derived from ead meaning "rich, blessed" and gyð meaning "war", so I suppose she is blessed in war? Told ya she's solid

Mitya the Girafarig. First off, I LOVE the wacky colour scheme, looks great! Having the ability Truant is a downer though... Mitya is a Russian name (Митя), a diminutive of Dmitriy (Дмитрий) which is from the Ancient Greek Demetrius (Δημητριος) which is derived from the Greek Goddess Demeter (Δημητηρ) which means ""earth mother".

We caught ourselves a Flareon boys!

Huri the Flareon, his colour is really good, much better this slightly darker version. Ability wise Natural Cure is one of my big disappointments of abilities (I might of ranted about this in the past) as the description sounds like it would get HP when it switches out, but in reality it's only status that gets "healed". and his original Flash Fire is so great - immunity to fire moves, and when hit by a fire move, his own fire moves get a 150% increase.

Raylene has evolved, and with the help of a free space in my party, I got Shedinja too. Because of the evolution way, Shedinja didn't get an opportunity for a name, but let's roll one out for him now... lights... action... and it's MADISON!!!

I really love Ninjask's colour scheme here, he looks really ninja-looking and amazing too. Madison though.. I prefer the original colour scheme. I also always feel Shedinja is just a pokemon as an easter egg, because I dunno... does anyone use him? (leave a comment below!!)

Madison is from an English surname meaning "son of Maud".

Remember Evander the Wurmple who evolved into a Dustox through Cascoon? Well, Evander could of gone a different way too.

So here we have him: Rambert the Silcoon, who a level later evolved into a Beautifly! The colour scheme makes him look like he has hepatitis.

Encountered the next "Kecleon", and it's not a Jirachi. It's a Suicune-coloured Raikou!

Vasilica the Raikou. It was such a pain to catch, many many many ultra balls thrown at it. Also it has the ability Truant :( While the original Pressure is far from my favourite ability since the NPC's are usually dead by time it would help, at least it doesn't actively hinder you. Why would this even BE an ability?!? Couldn't it at least give you some help per the impairment? I quite like the fact that Raikou's and Suicune's colour palettes are interchanged in this randomizer.

Vasilica is derived from Basil, which comes from the Greek βασιλευς (basileus), meaning "king". Welp I suppose I'd better but a crown on its head and let it rule over its box in the PC because I'm not going to be using it because Truant.
