Author Interview: Eustacia Tan

Today I'll be interviewing Eustacia Tan, an author from Singapore! She has a new book released just this month called Beauty's Daughter!
Author Bio
Eustacia hates writing about herself, especially in third person. She would, however, like to tell you that she’s been an insatiable reader since she was young. The plot bunnies eventually got to her, and she started writing some of her stories down. Eustacia is from sunny Singapore, but currently lives in Japan as a university student.

What is the Beauty's Daughter about?
It's a sequel to the story of Sleeping Beauty, where Beauty accidentally sets of a chain of events when she refuses to give her daughter a name - instead, she insists that a fairy has to name her daughter.
Tell us about yourself:
I started writing because I read so much that the plot bunnies started pestering me. I wrote to shut them up, and somehow never stopped.
Do you market your books? What has worked for you?
Nope, mostly because I don't have a budget. What I'm trying to do now is to build a backlist, so that when I do have the money, I can start experimenting with a series.
If there was one thing you discovered while writing that you wish you knew when you started, what would it be?
Stop being scared.
What are you working on now?
The Goblin Apple, the third book in the series.
Are you a member of any Writer's Groups? Are they worth it?
I'm in an informal writer's group (of three) and it's definitely worth it. I've gotten so much help and advice from the others that I probably wouldn't have been able to take the first step without them.
