All the reasons you hate the impact of the AI industry are all the same reasons you should hate the animal ag industry. It's destructive to local habitats and ecosystems, it's dependent on environmental racism, and it's predicated on a violation of consent.

plus, animal agriculture causes so much more harm to the environment than ai usage. not that either is good, but meat consumption is literally one of the main factors contributing to climate change!!

btw, if you're reducing your consumption of animal products for either ethical or environmental reasons, well done, you're amazing and I'm so fucking proud of you

Wish I could send this to the person in the comments of a post a few weeks ago that was telling me I needed to un-learn my colonial ideas because I think we shouldn't farm animals....

watching a documentary (about the exotic animal trade in the US) right now and just learned that in 2011 in ohio a private zoo owner released at least 52 animals from their cages before killing himself and that all of the animals were killed, in case anyone here still supports animal captivity/ownership.
